Spring, 2001: [Ghana]:I propose unpause.
Spring, 2001: [Ghana]:The cause of one does not outweigh the cause of the majority, especially in regards to an online board game. His enjoyment is the bane of all of us.
Spring, 2001: [South-Africa]:Yeah seriously. In a normal game with seven people it would be slightly more understandable but 17? I didn't realize I could go around just having my games paused at will. I thought it was VOTE pause for a reason. After a couple days a bunch of people probably won't even remember to vote unpause again, and if the mod restarts it manually they'll all forget their moves, and the game will pretty much be ruined, so thanks.
Spring, 2001: [Libya]:Were now 7 people short on the vote
Spring, 2001: [Pacific-Russia]:4 people short now.
Spring, 2001: [Russia]:India isnt going to vote till Sunday.
Spring, 2001: Moderator: (LeonWalras): The original pause period is up, so I'm unpausing this now. I've also reset the clock for a full phase length to prevent NMRs this phase. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up any further!
Spring, 2001: [India]:Thanks for the pause guys, much appreciated
Spring, 2001: [India]:BTW I don't want any hard feelings about a pause... the mods don't have to but decided it was fair to pause given the notice I'd given. And on your point Ghana, SA, it is a vote aye, but imagine a situation where someone doesn't vote in order to gain an advantage, there has to be a way to force a pause. Personally I think a majority vote should work (which I think there probably was in this case) rather than a unanimous vote. |
|
Spring, 2001: [Russia]:While I agree with majority vote, unpausing didnt take effect from majority vote. Because of that, it really wasn't fair.
Spring, 2001: [India]:I agree. But someone complained to the mods about the pause, and so it was unpaused.
Spring, 2002: [Western-Canada]:Hello everyone! I just joined this game, I hope this game will be enjoyable!
Spring, 2002: [Argentina]:Hello, I joined the whole site just yesterday, I didn't even know there is a world map! Looks great, looking forward to try it.
Autumn, 2002: [Western-Canada]:I wish I had allies... :/
Autumn, 2002: [Western-Canada]:And I'm dead. Screw you USA and Quebec.
Autumn, 2002: [Oz]:It's not there fault. Just didn't position yourself right. And this coming from a friend from a friend on the other end of the world.
Autumn, 2002: [USA]:You know you can look at the game before you join, so what were you expecting? A miraculous counter attack? Not gonna happen.
Autumn, 2002: [Western-Canada]:No, I knew I was screwed in this position, but I didnt know I would die this soon. -_-
Autumn, 2002: [Argentina]:At that late stage, all you can do is cause some annoyance, but that can be fun, as long as it lasts.
Autumn, 2002: [Western-Canada]:Yeah, exactly.
Autumn, 2003: [China]:Well I believe this is the end. Good luck to all (other than Pacific Russia and India)
Spring, 2004: GameMaster: NattyIce was banned: Invalid email. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily! |
|
Spring, 2006: [USA]:hey new USA
Spring, 2006: [Quebec]:Greetings neighbor!
Autumn, 2006: [USA]:how do i leaave this game
Autumn, 2006: [Argentina]:Via North Pacific
Autumn, 2006: GameMaster: JangoPackard was banned: Multi/Meta/No Reply. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily! |

Autumn, 2006: [Brazil]:God. How many people have been banned during this game?
Autumn, 2006: [South-Africa]:Alguien habla español?
Autumn, 2006: [Ghana]:The ignorant shall perish.
Autumn, 2007: [Quebec]:I just counted. 8 of the still-active 13 countries are played by people who are not the original players. What in the world happened in this game? That drop out rate is a bit absurd.
Autumn, 2007: [Brazil]:Is it just me or the fleet in Northeast Pacific is colored no-one's?
Autumn, 2007: [India]:Looks dodgy to me too...
Autumn, 2007: [Frozen-Antarctica]:That's Argentina. He just hasn't disbanded yet.
Autumn, 2007: [Argentina]:Doin' it now. Bye you guys!
Autumn, 2007: [Russia]:Thanks for playing!
Spring, 2010: [Quebec]:I ask my colleagues to respect the neutrality of Central Pacific.
[India]:Guys people have started to vote for a draw. If you're in cast your vote.
[Quebec]:I completely agree with India. I've set to draw. That is a gift for you, Ghana. I will continue to fight Russia and Ghana until that draw is realized.
[Ghana]:So, what is it you great nations desire until that draw?
[Russia]:He just said what his plans were until we draw.. Re-read his measage
[India]:GG all | |
[Brazil]:Good Game Guys
[Libya]:gg | |
[Quebec]:Good game. | |
[Russia]:Thanks for playing all!
[Ghana]:An excellent game. Libya played it best.
[USA]:Fuck it | |
[Near-East]:Good game, everybody.
[Libya]:Haha thanks, ghana |
