25 Feb 16 UTC GG kostas... not sure why we had to wait for you to get to 34, but well done!

@mex- sorry, there was a draw to be had here but I missed a few orders and only half-completed a few others. Also I didn't realize until too late that my fleets could move up the mississippi!
25 Feb 16 UTC Good game congrats kostas71, and Peru no worries I gave up aswell.
25 Feb 16 UTC I looked back and it's not as though BC just walked over inactives. people were present and playing, he just played a good game. Still, I needed to get my units out faster than I did. Figured tex and heartland would put up a better fight than ended up happening.
25 Feb 16 UTC Good game, everyone. I think I had a hand in BC getting the jump on Heartland & Texas, since I had a pesky unit in each of their territories, stubbornly refusing to die, well after the Florida peninsula had fallen. They couldn't move their units out towards the northwestern fringes, while there were weeds to pick at home, and that allowed BC to build momentum, which he carried all the way to victory.

Not trying to imply that I should get any credit. Just pointing out a possible reason that Heartland & Texas weren't able to keep him contained. That's what makes these gunboat games so interesting. There are so many variables.
25 Feb 16 UTC Good game everyone. There were a few things that really helped me win. First of all the quick elimination of California. Then, having peace with Mexico, i attacked Heartland and Texas. The fact that they kept fighting each other, made it easier for me.
I think Mexico should attack me to stop me early in the game. He already had peace with Peru. Just trying to survive and fighting noone.
Also, i think Peru should attack Mexico early in the game. Unless Peru hoped Mexico would attack me. Good thinking but it didnt work.
Nevertheless it was an interesting game. Thanks guys.
25 Feb 16 UTC Yeah I really needed mex to attack BC. I can understand he was sort of in a no-win situation, since my navy had him surrounded, but I agree if we both had made a move quicker (me to the east coast and him to the southwest) we could have pretty easily forced a draw. ah well, always next century.
25 Feb 16 UTC Always tricky with these non-comm games to coordinate with neighbours when to switch from border disputes to working together for the draw. Moving that way too soon often leaves you open to getting wiped out.
