11 Nov 15 UTC	Autumn, 1998: Noble countries of Europe! Let us unite to stop the Turkish menace that threatens to sweep the board in a solo. If we continue to bicker between ourselves, we will ALL pay the price. PPSC is no reason to get a meagre "survival" on our webDip records. A draw is the noble solution! If we do not solve our differences in 1999, then the year 2000 will be a cataclysm for all of us. Poland, Germany, you have told me separately that you can truce, and I will cease hostilities against Germany so that we can focus on creating a stalemate line together. Spain, Italy, you too have told me that you can work to a diplomatic solution. I will send my fleets into the Mediterranean and the far north to help all of you, my allies. United, we will stop the Turkish menace and bring this war to a just and equitable conclusion for the six remaining powers!

11 Nov 15 UTC	Autumn, 1998: Hey, it's nothing personal, you're just the solo threat! ;) Even if I wanted to back door someone, I could at best gain, let's say, 4 SCs, and still be way behind you; and then the board would be pitched into chaos, which would allow you to pick up even more SCs, leading to your victory. Turkey is close enough already that it will take peace among the remaining countries to stop a solo. Any further fighting will almost guarantee a solo.
