Spring, 1995: This message is for Italy, Germany, and Ukraine. Do not move into Slovakia (Slo on the map) or I will consider it an act of war.
Autumn, 1995: GameMaster: DaemonKael was banned: multi. The time until the next phase has been extended by one phase length to give an opportunity to replace the player. Remember to finalize your orders if you don't want to wait, so the game isn't held up unnecessarily! |

Spring, 1997: TIL you can build in any vacant SC in this variant
Spring, 1997: Friday 13, 1997 Northern Siberia Dear Yuri, It is with great pain that I put ink to paper as I was caught scrounging ink from the Officer's Office Thursday past in order to get word out. But it has been my time in the stockade that has really caused my the greatest pain. My fingers flintch at the though. But enough of my problems how are you? I hope your wife's pregnancy hasn't turned for the worse. Please relate my words to her, she is on my mind. In any case, I hope that you are able to make the appropriate arrangements to prevent the infiltration of the Reds into government once more. It is imperative that you ensure they are unable to claim you are weak on foreign policy. They may have locked me up to silence my dissent, but you can still make a difference and stop more bloodshed before it begins. As I write I hear my guard coming to fetch me for my meal, I cannot stress hard enough that you must prevent the President from turning back the clock. Stop him before it's too late. Sergei Lionickopov Former Head of Security for President of Russia |

Spring, 1997: Russia? | |
Spring, 1997: According to his own statement in a private communication, he is crazy.
Spring, 1997: Or rather I made an allusion to the Crazy Ivan maneuver, learn your stereotyped Russian phrases dude. Or you know, send me more than a one word response that fails to address anything relevant. |
|
Spring, 1997: You are really crazy, but I like you, man.
Spring, 1997: Funny dude.
Autumn, 1997: The screaming of his women in St. Petersburg was testament to this - I burst out laughing as my navy shelled his port.
Autumn, 1997: http://youtu.be/CmgFqkWIUgM
Autumn, 1999: Sorry, for a delay, but I have no idea wher I should destroy a unit...
Spring, 2000: To those who received messages from their respective Russian Embassies, fyi I will not likely be able to get to internet in time to change moves or give replies before the next phase.
Spring, 2000: I am all in favour of pausing the game if that helps you.
Autumn, 2000: From the desk of Yuri Mikailopov Dear Nicolai It is with a heavy heart I write to you, it has been long in the making, but swift in execution, our greatest fears have come to fruition. We were wrong about the new regime in Germany. I felt we could work with them, that it would not be a repeat of the prelude to the Great Patriotic War, I felt that we had earned trust, and that trust was earned. I was wrong. It is essential that you act swiftly to crush the onschluss before it spreads like a disease across Europe and the world. It is essential that the documents enclosed reach the resistance, for without them, they are sure to fail. Without the knowledge of what happened before we are just sitting and waiting for death, destruction and diablo's to take all. Before it is too late we must act, before it is too late we must act like the surgeon towards the gangrenous leg, cut it off before it spreads. Nicolai, you must act now, you are in a position to fix the mistakes made by me and that fool Sergi. The guards come for me now, they bring to me my final vodka, so I must sign my goodbyes, please tell me wife: hello, my son goodbye, and my daughter to not marry a fool so grand as I. Yuri Mikailopov Former President of Russia |

Autumn, 2000: Germany is consistently betraying every part in this board... We cannot say she isnt faithful to her own principles.
Autumn, 2000: double negative.
Autumn, 2000: ;) | |
Spring, 2001: Her? Do you people know each other irl?
Spring, 2001: nope | |
Autumn, 2005: Seeing as it is now clearly four against one, I don't really see any real way that I could win this game. I am therefore conceding victory to you all. If any of you plan to keep playing after I am out of the game, then I will keep playing so that the game doesn't become too unbalanced, other than that though, I don't really see a way I could come out on the winning side, and if its alright with you all, I think I am going to bow out. Congrats, to you all, especially Italy who played a great game, and to the UK, who never gave up. |
|
Autumn, 2005: i am just a survivor, amazing is what Spain performed in terms of perseverence and intelligence.
Autumn, 2005: Germany, thank you for your kind words about me. I hope you are not leaving, the game is still on.
Autumn, 2005: Still plenty of draw left for anyone willing to work for it
Autumn, 2008: to clarify, I did not know the fleet in the North Sea was Spanish, being colour blind does lead to some problems playing this game
