05 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Near-East]:Fair enough. So long as he doesn't come back I'd be happy.
05 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Argentina]:Thanks.
05 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2013: [Quebec]:Not so fast, new management in Quebec.
19 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Near-East]:Does anyone in this game believe in communicating anymore? Or are you just rude
19 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2016: [China]:I'm going to the seaside for the weekend. I think I don't need a pause but I'm sorry for my lack of communicatiion.
19 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2016: [Near-East]:I'll not ready my orders then, so you miss less time.
23 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2017: [Near-East]:Blargh....well I've totally messed this one up. Sorry folks, I don't usually NMR.
23 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2017: [Ghana]:no prob :)
23 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2017: [Near-East]:I wasn't apologizing to you Ghana :p. Wanna move back those armies and have a re-do?
23 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2017: [Ghana]:I think I'm good :p
26 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Near-East]:Hi all. I was wondering if I could have a pause for the weekend? Just a friday to sunday thing. On a longer phased game I wouldn't ask, but I'm gonna NMR in this case.
26 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Ghana]:NE - you should vote pause in any case and we will try to get the votes in before you miss a turn?
26 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Near-East]:Thanks guys :) see you sunday
26 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Quebec]:Going out on a limb here...first time I ever agreed to a pause. Have a great weekend N-E. I am sure Ghana just can't wait until you return.
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Near-East]:Thanks for the pause everyone. I'm back!
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Ghana]:Can we all unpause please?
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Quebec]:That's one of the reasons I don't pause...the "Unpause" phase. Might as well just vote draw and we can finish this game. It has been a good game.
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Near-East]:Has anyone heard from Argentina since? Pause feature is not a diplomacy tool.
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Argentina]:Game is paused 18 hours longer than necessary, better get the mods. ;-)
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Quebec]:;)
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Near-East]:See Quebec? Didn't end up being a big deal
29 Jul 13 UTC Autumn, 2017: [Quebec]:Thanks for coming back.
31 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2018: [Near-East]:This game now officially defies all logic and reason.
31 Jul 13 UTC Spring, 2018: [Near-East]:Well, no not this game. A single player in this game.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:Allies agree to share centers sometimes, Near East. It's not that weird.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:So when are you giving it back?
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:Whenever I'm told to.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Near-East]:Yet you say that as you have moved every last one of your troops away from the only solo threat on the board and completely tossed the game that you had a chance to force a draw on...I gave you the stalemate lines yet you completely ignored me.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:He is not interested in a draw. He is just a loyal vassal of Ghana.

Ghana is just setting himself up for the great red land grab for 44 SCs. I hope he takes them all from Argentina.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:And if you had attacked Ghana back when it was C/A/Q vs G/N, you could have forced a draw.
So what? If you want people to freak out about solo threats, play WTA.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:Yeah Quebec, you hope. But since there's no need to, it's pretty unlikely.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Near-East]:Hey, I did you all a favor by taking over Near East. Usually, I strictly play WTA.

And I did turn over to your side and sent you a message before you began your attack on Quebec, so don't get up on a high horse, this is all on you.

I echo Quebec. Ghana, please take them all from Argentina.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:And I am interested in a C/A/G draw, but it's not terribly important. The deciding factors will be how quickly you crumble, and from which direction. I suppose you will throw your centers to Ghana to spite me, but oh well, not a big deal.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:Points are meaningless. First I play to win (Solo)...very hard to do in this variant unless you find a fool (yes, that is you Argentina). Second, for the draw, preferably a three-way. To survive or be defeated is a failure in my book...WTA or PPSC.

Your SCs are worth about 3 points each. I figure that Ghana will need about seven red SCs to solo. That would leave you 8 SCs or 24 points. Not bad for a 10 point bet, but you could do better. A five way draw would net you 55 points. Did you fail math?
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Ghana]:guys, this is only a game, no need to be insulting to each other.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:"And I did turn over to your side and sent you a message before you began your attack on Quebec"

NE, you are either misremembering, or lying. This is the last thing you said to me privately before I began attacking Quebec:

~29 Jun 2013 (To: You, from Near-East) - Spring, 2012: [Near-East]:Come on now, you know this isn't going to end well for China. I've outmaneuvered him. Why not just ease the pain?
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:And this is what you said when I began attacking Quebec:

~8 Jul 2013 (To: You, from Near-East) - Spring, 2014: [Near-East]:What's with the moves north? Should I be hoping beyond all hope that you're moving on Quebec?
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:The insult to the rest of us still in this game is Argentina's blind obedience to you Ghana.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:"To survive or be defeated is a failure in my book...WTA or PPSC."

I don't care about your book. I care about GR, and in PPSC, a strong survival can be as good or better than a draw.

I figure that Ghana will need about seven green SCs. That leaves seven more green SCs up for grabs.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Near-East]:You're correct, I was misremembering. But shortly after you began the moves north this is what I sent.

Autumn, 2014: [You]:I think that's a poor move which will let Ghana grow even larger. Be very wary and mind your ability to stop Ghana in it's tracks.
~9 Jul 2013 Autumn, 2014: [Argentina]:Like I said, I want this game to be over. You said you wanted fewer players to draw with. I'm going to make that happen. Ghana and I will take over Quebec, and/or Ghana will attack me too. One way or the other, there will be fewer players.
9 Jul 2013 Autumn, 2014: [You]:Yes, but there's the difference between eliminating a player who is safe to eliminate and one who could allow a solo to happen. I wanted a smaller draw, not a possible solo.
~9 Jul 2013 Autumn, 2014: [Argentina]:I just want the game to end.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:Ghana will grow tired of an assault on North America and will go for the easy red SCs!
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:That's a risk I'm taking, Quebec, but I doubt it. Ghana is one of the most patient and determined players I've met.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:You can tell that by just this one game. What is your assessment of the other players?
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:My assessment? I know that China, Ghana and I are all good players; that's why we're still here. I don't know much about you Johnny-come-latelies.
01 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Near-East]:A good player doesn't leave over half his centers vulnerable to a stab. I was very sorely out of position to counter Ghana's stab, but I was better situated then than you are now.
02 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:There goes the first three...
02 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Argentina]:Eh, oh well.
02 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Quebec]:Viva Argentina!
02 Aug 13 UTC Autumn, 2018: [Near-East]:We all have to learn this lesson at some point. I learned mine in a world game quite like this one in my first few months on the site.
10 Aug 13 UTC [Ghana]:It was a fun game, well played everyone.
