30 Sep 12 UTC Spring, 1: Alright y'all, I want a good clean fight. No need to get nasty.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: What's the win total for supply centers?
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: HEY THAT WAS A REAL QUESTION, IN CASE YOU WERE ALL WONDERING
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: i think it was like 13 the last game we played. not sure if it changed.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Alright I will explain this for Caleb since this is his first game. Basically we are each a country going for world domination. Each person has two types of units: armies and navies. Armies can only go on land(obviously) and navies can go in the water AND on coastal areas. The navies cant get to the landlocked areas.

The number of units you have is dictated by the number of supply centers you own. If you look at the map some of the areas have black dots on them, these are supply centers and these are what allow you to get more units. The other areas don't really matter besides to maneuver your units to get the supply centers.

Your units have a few different orders you give them:
"hold", which basically means they don't do anything.
"move", obviously move to whatever area you tell them to. If your unit and another unit both move to the same area they will "bounce" and neither will go there.
"support move", if you think you might "bounce" another unit you can have a DIFFERENT unit use "support move" so you will have the power of two. 2v1 will win.
"support hold" a defender will win a 1v1 but will lose a 2v1. You can use the "support hold" to basically help hold your ground. Therefore making it a 2v2 and defenders have the advantage. If someone attacks your unit that is "support holding" they will stop support holding.
"Convoy" used by fleets to transport armies over water.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: it was 18 last time, and 18 this time too.

01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Something else important i forgot. There are 5 different phases.
spring moves, summer retreats, fall moves, winter retreats, builds.
It is spring moves right now, you only take possession of supply centers after winter retreats. During builds you either build of destroy units based on how many units and supply centers you have.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Anybody else think Caleb should probably be more proactive because he's not getting any diplomacy done right now...(i.e., people don't like China. Closed doors.)
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: He is at a further disadvantage because this is his first game. Communicating would help him.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: he hasn't been online in 22 hours. I don't think he's ignoring/not communicating with people he just hasn't been on.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Yup, it is just unfortunate that he hasn't been able to get on. He is probably just busy.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: so once you get a move do you ready up and then wait?
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Yea, once everyone is ready it progresses to the next stage.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: You can either "save" or "ready". If you do either then those are the orders that will be processed when time runs out. If EVERYBODY "ready"s, then it will process immediately.

I am the only one that has not pushed "ready". Do you want to go to the next turn?
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: i'd like to go to the next turn
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Also another thing, this is Winner-takes-all. So coming in 2nd place makes you a big fat loser face, NOT "i almost won". No, you lost. Another thing, expect to get lied to. Don't get mad when someone who said was your ally decides to attack you. Talk to them, convince them not to, make a better alternative for them. Just expect to get lied to.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: >:(
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: I didn't know if caleb knew the difference between "ready" and "save", i would rather not go on to the next turn if he doesn't want to.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: Chill, brian. I didn't lie to you. I never lie.
01 Oct 12 UTC Spring, 1: fair enough
