In survey:
• The percentage of people in France, Spain, and Germany that view the United States foreign policy positively is up 20% from the Bush administration.
• Greece (90% of population surveyed), Egypt (89%), Jordan (85%), Turkey (81%), Spain (76%), Brazil (76%), and Japan (75%) oppose the foreign drone campaign.
• Japan is the only nation where half the population surveyed believes that Americanization is a good ideology, but they, along with Mexico, Italy, and Poland, all have seen significant jumps since the end of Bush's second term.
I think along with the international crowd, evidently, that soft power is the way to go. Anyway, in an election where I don't think a ton of people are going to change their minds no matter what the candidates do from here on out, foreign policy with the international crowd in the country might make a big difference.
