If they intended to ally together against whoever joined "their" game from the start, that is certainly a form of meta-gaming that is not supposed to be allowed. As such, this should probably be sent to the mod email rather than discussed here.

Although looking at it currently it appears they are no longer all working together. So now it just falls under the category of "don't talk about ongoing games".

If you click on the Help link and then the Rules link, which isn't the game rules, but rather is the website rules, you can find the mod email there. It is a good page to read in any case.

Its not cheating unless they went into the game planning to ally. I am friends with Lando in real life and we have been in 150+ games together. And I never disclose that I know him. I don't think I'm cheating.

the problem is if you know
if you know who he is in anonimous is cheating
if you talk with him outside the game in non chating games is cheating
if you help him or get help from him or manipulate the board in his favor its cheating

its blur when two good friends play the game
i have the same problem with my cousin"masf"
so we try to play anonimous and not talk about the game at all unless we know for sure the other is not in it
