So are you going to pause at the end of the day? The other game is still going on and we are rapidly approaching Thanksgiving. You need to do at least day long phases with pauses for weekends or agree that the weekends/holidays will just be a phase a day.

The game was a lot of fun for the first week. Unfortunately, it has turned into a crawl...

I have 2 hour phases here, but with agreement to finalize in 15-30 minutes implied. I suppose we would pause at end of day, yes.

I'm probably going to just see if we can't pause it for Thursday/Friday. My girlfriend's coming up in town anyways so I might want to make sure I get plenty of time with her. :-)

And what if someone refuses to pause cause they have time on their hands to get a cheap victory out of the game when everyone else CDs?

If you're going to finalize faster than the times established anyhow, you might as well just make it 4-day phases like we did and finalize every hour or so via honor system (though I admit I've been kinda sloppy on that myself).

Get a four or five day phase one going, and I'll join it.

This sounds great to my schedule so I've joined. I don't know that I've played much with any of you - so if you would like me to cancel out I will - no hard feelings.

I have no objections. I made the bet a little on the high side (for a "casual" game) to discourage people from joining too casually and not following the honor system.

I will join this game. But first, I need to let you know what I can do and you all can let me know if this is OK. I am a student and I live in Waterloo, ON (EST). I have classes, however I can bring my laptop to class to keep up with the game. I probably can't devote much time to the games during my classes. I also have commitments such as group meetings for projects.

This should be fine for me as long as you can deal with maybe 1.5 hours of inactivity from me every now and then.

I'm at work and have occassional meetings in which I can't even do that, so I have no problem with it.

I definitely expect to have some times where you just need 2-3 hours. Don't worry about it :-)

I'm in. As I understand it, the idea is that you go ready on your orders often (every couple of hours).

The only thing I am worried about is that if someone leaves. It will be annoying to wait 8 days for them to go CD.
