I can name one thing right off the bat-
UK shows with any sort of narration or host are 10x better than the USA versions.
"Planet Earth" is an AMAZING 11-part documentary with all this really beautiful, HD nature footage, everything from helicopter shots of huge open areas with thoudands of animals to a closeup of a dew drop and insect... if you haven't seen it, head over to YouTube and type it in and check it out NOW (but be sure to type in "Part 1" or so with it, to geth the whole episode, and also maybe what you want, like "Planet Earth Deserts Part 1" for the Deserts episode.)
And thw hole thing is narrated by this British nauturalist, can't remember his name but GREAT VOICE for the stuff!
And the American sequel, "Life" is voiced by... Oprah Winfrey.
Oprah.
So we have a qualified naturalist with this awesome voice for the stuff and knows what he's saying, so the meaning behind all the words and images is that much better...
And OPRAH.
Unless she's having the lions sit down with the wilderbeasts to work out their issues, WHY is she doing that? We can't have that same awesome guy, or at LEAST an American biologist who knows what he's talking about?
