Question to mods:

Why not allow experienced players (such as cteno or ag) to create such an accounts and use them for this noble activity? As long as they don't join same games with their other account, of course. It would help to solve CD problem at least in part.

I understand the idea is rules are for everyone - one account per person, but may be these "CD-rescue" accounts could be shared - assigned to a team of players which use them for the sake of game balance restoration.

I think a better solution is to separate statistics on CD takeovers and normal games.

Yes, that is the problem. We would have to keep tabs on all of it too. I think just getting the site better able to cope with CD as rlumley says would be best.

Note: I am embarking on a project that will hopefully culminate in Ghost-rating not be affected by CD takeover.

Is the noted change in the ghost-rating expected for all CD games or where a single unit cd is taken over? I support a rating not reflecting taking over a single unit CD and/or lost cause CD (best definition pf a lost cause???~2-3 unit/SC CD that does not survive the game) to help finish a game.

How will the ghost-rating reflect doing well with a CD country? I enjoy the challenge of taking over a CD country in which I see a workable position in the game.

Well, it will take into account the condition the of country when you take over, and use that to modify your rating, as it were. Therefore if you take over a 15 centre CD, your effective rating will be much higher than if you took over a 3 centre CD.

The same happens to the other players' ratings for the calculation of your own rating.

It's not worth it to make exceptions to the one-account rule, because mods would have to keep a list, and it could still result in players playing too many games.

The only reason people don't want to take over CD's with their main profile is because they care about their record/ratings. The easier solution is to amend the record/ratings so that CD's are not taken into account. Or if you stopped caring about your record/ratings and just play the CD's because you want to.

You HAVE to care about records/ratings because taking over CDs will inevitably cost you points and prevent you from being able to join games.

The best solution would be to separate CDs, WTA, and PPSC from each other.

I don't care because it's going to make me look bad or anything, I care because I find it interesting to look at the statistics, and would like to see the differences in each of the above.
