Supply Centers Ignored in Autumn

We are going to have the same problem in this game. Its in retreat mode now, but Russia took over 2 centers in the Autumn, Norway and Vienna. Norway changed to purple, but Vienna did not. I assume i am not going to get credit for Norway.

BUG AT GAME 4137

I´m Germany in this game.
I have 16 CPs but the program didn´t let me build three units last build turn, so i have Paris and Brest but appears blue, and i have Moscow but appears Yellow, this bug is happening in all my games.
Please do something.

A bug - orders not carried out

Greetings,

I think there is a problem with game:

I am playing Russia, and in the second turn, I distinctly gave orders of the fleet of Sevastopol to move to Roumania and the army from Ukraine to support it.

Both units did not move at all. The austrian took roumania with a single unit.

The game is with a higher stake than the usual 8-10 points, and this is putting me in an awkward situation.

Can a mod explain what happened and if there is anything that can be done to change the situation

Draw Request: Turd Nugget

While Turkey is refusing the draw, its 2 on 2 (italy + turkey vs england + austria) and we are at a stalemate unless someone stabs his partner, which no one is willing to do.

Can I request a draw if not everyone agrees?

Turkey wants me (austria) to stab my partner, england, which I refuse to do on gamesmanship.

Orders weirdness

I had fleets in Spain nc and Port and did Spain nc -> Port, Port-> Spain sc, but my fleets appeared to have bounced - is this not a legal move?

And why did Pic->Paris, with support from Brest fail? The only thing which could attack Brest was the fleet in N. Atlantic, and it was dislodged!

Yet another game aborted due to the Civil Disorder bug that was happening a few days ago. We have a game with all the players in so if this could be removed it'd be great.

Let me know if I need to get the other guys to post in here, but I don't think it's a problem.

Bugs in Fast is better Autumn 1903 Game ?

Can somebody have a look regarding previous moves between Italy and France
From what I can read from the big map:

Before the turn Spain was empty

Italy Orders:
Gulf du lyon moves to Spain SC supporting by Marseilles and Wester Med.

France Orders:
Bur move to Marseilles (as a result cut one of the the Italian support)
MAO move to Spain NC support by Gas

The output is France took Spain, but I think I should have bounced back because each to us went to spain with the same number of support (only one support), I didn't have advantage over the Italian to take spain.

Actually My intention was to bounce back not to take spain.

Players "cooperation"

I checked that some players seem to be "cooperating" in several games at the same time what gives them an unfair advantage over other players. Is this allowed?

Qing Shi Hwang - Kestas please ban this idiot

This waste of human flesh is joining games and abandoning his/her sc's in an effort to lose right away for dishonest point gain. This has been discussed in other threads. I have, luckily, not been involved in any games with this offal to this point, but he/she is ruining the game play for those who have.

He's not really ruining the games he's joining as he's actually replacing CD's and submitting orders, but he's undermining the point system and knowingly exploiting it. At the very least knock him back down.

Knock him back down, by all means, but don't ban him. He serves three useful functions; he keeps the joinable games list free of futile positions, he shows the points system for the farce that it is, and he upsets mapleleaf.

Look at the link, Chris. He/she is taking over cd Great Powers, and abandoning sc's. This DOES ruin the games.

Ok, I looked at the link... and it doesn't show him ruining the game... it shows him moving out of the one supply center left to an otherwise inactive Turkey. Honestly, it didn't make any difference, if anything it might have sped up the game a tad by finalizing orders. It's a victimless crime, except for the fact that he gets tons of points for being a CD janitor.

but what you done see isthe fact that he joins a game with a relatively small pot and then puts all his points into another new game so that he gets the 100 points to restart him and then his other game doesnt make so he gets those points on top of the default 100 after he loses the cheap game

So we are sure and positive that you can still get points this way? Because I thought I went over this points code to prevent stuff like this, and I haven't seen his points increase from 861

If you're going to ban somebody for doing that, you'd get rid of half our population. The good thing about it is that you can only really effectively do that sort of thing at small pots. Once you start winning, and you get more points, the only way to earn points is to win...or at least come out ahead on games. If you don't want to deal with people joining CDs and purposefully losing, or people going CD immediately, join higher pot games.

mapleleaf... do you hear yourself? Of course it's not the same but the difference is almost irrelevant in the long run since it's only with very small CD countries. It certainly doesn't necessitate a ban.

did no one else notice that he always has a small pot game and a large pot game and the large pot always always has the rest of his points. so he joins the small game, waits until he is almost about to lose and them makes a game so his points go down to zero so that when he loses the small game he gets 100 points. On top of that 100 he gets the points back that he invested into his game that didnt make

That function previously didn't have a check for the total number of points invested; now it does. Since the latest release it should notice that he has over 100 points total and refund him nothing..

If anyone notices that this check is being performed incorrectly or there's a way around only then is there a problem.

ok so kestas your saying that the program puts the amount of points invested in current games into consideration when it tallies a persons points so that if they lose a game when they have 0 points available to put into other games they dont recieve anymore bc they have more than 100 invested into games they are playing

im sorry if that just screwed you brain up really bad. Ill use an example. Player1(140)<thats what he/she starts out with then this person invests all of it into 3 different games (30,50,60) so that now his name looks like this Player1(0). But this person gets knocked out of the 30 point game but the 50 and 60 point games are still active. Therefore Player1 has 110 points invested and if i understand what you said right even though his profile says Player1(0) he/she does not receive any points due to the fact that they have more than 100 points invested elsewhere?

My concern is not subversion of the point system, but rather the unbalancing of a close game. I noticed this stupidity when I considered taking over Austria in the game ( I've provided the link above), but decided against it because I felt that it would have been poor sportsmanship. I could have simply walked into the vacated Turkey unsupported and enjoyed an unfair advantage.

That's just not cricket.

Puzzling question

To the many more experienced phpDip players out there than me:

What caused my convoy from Sevastopol to Bulgaria to fail, thus leaving it open for my opponents retreat? I had checked my orders before finalizing twice and I while I have made mistakes in the past, I find it hardly possible I would have gaffed on both the convoy and the support.

how are points awarded

In a points per supply center game, at the end of the game how are points awarded exactly?
In the help section under Betting Points it says that if a game ends and a player has less than 100 points they get their bet back. Doesn't that mean that a player wouldn't actually be risking anything if they bet all their points?

Google Search

So, I was messing around and I did a search for "diplomacy game" and after looking at the first 15 pages of the search, I found no mention of this site (playdiplomacy was on the third page). I searched for "diplomacy online" and playdiplomacy was the first thing on the list. again I didn't find it in the first 15 pages. Other online sites popped up, sometimes multiple times. What's with this? this is a great site and should get the billing it deserves. Can we edit the meta or something to at least make it possible to find us without searching for phpdiplomacy?
