one more note - the players playing the game are, of course, not allowed to comment. otherwise it'd be a public press game.

So, a game such as this would actually break site rules as you are not allowed to comment on ongoing Gunboat games. We've discussed it internally though and think the idea is a good one, so we're willing to waive that rule AS LONG AS this is the *only* game that is discussed, and it is limited solely to one thread. Special Rules Games that violate the normal site rules should always be signed off by the mod team so there's a clear idea of what moderator interference is required in the game (if any); and we've had a lot of problems with that in the past.

I hope this fills up - the FP Peanut Gallery Game was great fun (and who knows, maybe there will be another soon); and a Gunboat one would be pretty neat.

This game looks like fun. Perhaps more fun for the peanut gallery than the players, though, if the turns are prolonged enough for proper peanut pelting.

i was thinking two day phases to allow for enough commentary, but if you all prefer 36 hours that works as well.

I would vote for 48h phases, but allowing for readying up where possible. The rest sounds good.

I'm fine with the three listed conditions and either 36 or 48 hr.

I accept them. 36 please since I don't think we should be readying up to allow Peanut Gallery time to comment. Experienced gunboaters can go through years too quickly for commentary if they all ready up.

i think mixing experience levels isn't a bad thing. if the concept turns out to be fun, we can always try it again with, maybe only top 30 active gunboaters.

@trip Everyone's a tad bit more experienced then me lol. I'd be happy to step down if a more experienced player would like to take my spot.

I was only questioning it because I didn't know exactly what kas was going for. This is his show and he's fine with players having mixed levels of experience, so all is good.
