Question on moves
Unit A attacks an enemy unit. At the same time units B and C support HOLD unit A.
What is the defensive strength of unit A? Is it 2 beceuse it is supported by 2, or is the support wasted because unit A is attacking rather than holding?

CNN found the Reddit user who created the WWE wrestling meme
http://www.cnn.com/2017/07/04/politics/kfile-reddit-user-trump-tweet/index.html
This is just sad. A news organization so triggered by a meme that they would go after the poor guy and threaten to release identity to get an apology and is still threatening to release his identity. You can argue if it was appropriate that Trump tweeted this but this is not ok. This is freedom of speech and he might get severely punished for it. Apparently CNN never understood that "1984" is fiction.

American President Tier Ranking
I'm curious to see people's rankings of American presidents. Here's mine.

Actually Trump has started to drain the swamp by doing an executive order forbidding executive branch employees from being lobbyists for 5 years after they leave their post. That's a start.

"Taking us out of TPP"

Death to free trade. Handing China a victory.

"Paris Accords"

Environmentally-minded conservatives I know haven't considered it a victory at all. I have a friend who volunteered for the Trump campaign and he'd been hoping Trump would stay in.

"Tackling the illegal immigrant problem"

Ineffectively

"Neil Gorsuch confirmed"

Too bad Garland couldn't even get a hearing. This is on McConnell for playing politics with the court.
TrPrado (461 D)

Trump also expanded the power of the president even further by initiating the travel ban without Conressional approval. His lack of transparency and aggression towards opposition also deserve major red marks against him.

I'm also going to strongly agree with Yoyo that putting him on a rankings list right now would be incredibly premature. But I will say putting Pruitt in his cabinet was a bad sign. Oklahomans who follow state politics know him as a bought and sold politician who used his powers as AG to benefit his corporate sponsors.
ND (879 D)

LOL why would Garland get a hearing? You don't confirm lame duck presidential supreme court appointments. This was called the Biden Senate rule.

Yeah, most conservatives are happy that we withdrew from Paris Accords. I am ecstatic about it.

Yeah, Democrats and Republicans were against TPP. Even Hillary was against it.

Try harder plz.

"LOL why would Garland get a hearing?"

Because he Senate is supposed to consider Supreme Court nominations. Whether or not they approved him, not giving him a hearing is bullshit no matter what excuse anyone wants to use.

"Yeah, most conservatives are happy that we withdrew from Paris Accords. I am ecstatic about it. "

The US was allowed to set its own standards. It didn't actually do much.

"Yeah, Democrats and Republicans were against TPP. Even Hillary was against it."

So Democrats and Republicans were both anti-free trade.

Taking us out of TPP
- Uh okay you get a point there. I wasn't a fan of TPP either.

Paris Accords
- Awful decision which shows Trump doesn't give a shit about the environment or future generations. -10 President Points.

Already starting to renogiate some trade deals
- Not an achievement.

Tackling the illegal immigrant problem
- How?

Neil Gorsuch confirmed
- A very conservative and old-fashioned judge. If you like those kind of judges...

Taking an axe to regulations
- Why is this a good thing, per se?

Approving Keystone and Dakota access
- A big "fuck you" to both the environment, and in the latter case, the rights of Native Americans. Shitty.

Trump is a Category 1 shithead.

The thing you fail to understand ND - is that Republicans will not hold majority for eternity
And the moment they no longer do - democrats will force thru anyone they want no matter how left or radical and use this gorsuch shit as justification. You created your own future headache. Which republicans tend to do - tell me saddam was worse than ISIS for example
brainbomb (295 D)

Garland was not even close to as left as obama couldve gone. And not only that but Obama couldve used nuclear option when republicans were in recess and he didnt. It was very petty and very politically motivated to deny Obama a nomination choice - he was still President. You dont get to decide that his final year of Presidency is meaningless and irrelevant that was pure cowardice by Mitch.
brainbomb (295 D)
01 Jul 17 UTC
If fir example Alito or Roberts were SC nominations in Bushs final year I cannot imagine a world where Democrats couldve claimed that due to time remaining in office - those nominations can wait. Thats BS and you know it.

The Paris accords would've done a grand total of exactly nothing to the enviorment. It was a political move that would have cost of billions. "But Zach The paris accords are non-binding" it's also nonbinding to China and India.
How is renogiating trade deals not an achievement?
What's wrong with an old-fashioned judge. That's your label for someone who knows the consitution,
Regulations crush small businesses and the middle class.
I don't get this whole Native Americans thing. The Missouri is already polluted. The pipe would be in the ground so even if it did leak it would take years for oil to reach the water. You should be worried about os all those enviormentalists leaving their trash on the banks and in the river when the protests failed.

'Biden Rule'

Democrats did the same thing to Bush Sr. back in the 1990s.

Yes, you are right Brain, we will eventually lose the majority. The thought of that keeps me awake at night.

@Zach: "How is renogiating trade deals not an achievement?"

You mean "re-negotiating", and it would only count as an achievement once a new deal is reached. Just initiating talks is not an outcome.

You can't re-negotiate once you leave. That's like saying the U.K. can now make the rules of the EU better since they left it. They have removed their voice, and so have we. The coal companies wanted to stay in the Paris agreement for that reason, that tells you how bad of a decision leaving it was.
brainbomb (295 D)

Leaving the paris accords on climate and touting it as an accomplishment is sort of like if we left NATO and said "meh we can defend ourself we dont need yall".
speudebradeos (287 D)
01 Jul 17 UTC
Leaving the Paris Accords is the most overblown complaint about the Trump presidency, and I'm not a fan of his. The agreement literally did nothing. It was purely symbolic. It had no enforcement mechanism and all the reductions were voluntary. That's why it didn't have to be ratified by the Senate, as all actual treaties we make with other countries do.
Obama and Trump are both too recent in my opinion to judge that much. Nobody knows the long term effects of their decisions (Heck Trump hasn't even made them all yet). A vote for either of them shows what you currently feel is important, more that what can be judged to be effective or not over time.

At the moment my top five (since I didn't really do so earlier):

1 Lincoln
2 Washington
3 FDR
4 Jefferson
5 Teddy Roosevelt
Kinda torn between Wilson and Roosevelt in the number 5 spot
