Id like to see both the certified psychology backed data showing the deterrant nature seeing an armed guard with an AR 15 does. because as a security officer you wouldnt need to fire that many rounds to take down 1 assailant. Guns are necessary not for personal protection but rather for protection against government oppression. Guns are absolutely necessary to hold the encroachment of big government at bay, and they appear ever the more necessary with Obama's numerous executive actions. Are more people killed by guns than protected by them? Sure. But protecting individual safety was never the intent of the Second Amendment, and to prevent mass shootings, we must eliminate the shooters at the root. That is, fundamentalist extremists.
