not that I deny that this is a true phenomenon, let me be clear about that. I just think it's highly correlated with Low effort games. which is understandable in some respects, because if you really wanted to talk to everyone, multiple times a phase, when you only log in once or twice a day, you really should be playing at least 48, probably honestly 96, our faces which just make the game last forever

Whether you start when the last person arrives or start at a set time you're still going to have people not around when the game starts. It's not like somebody in a different time zone is going to set their alarm clock to wake up in the middle of the night just because a game is about to start. People who arrive late should have the common sense to really make up for lost time and communicate like crazy. The other alternative which i've seen done elsewhere is to double the time for the first round to make sure everybody has more then enough time to communicate regardless as to if they were first one's or not, that way everybody had more then enough time to show what type of communicator they would be.

What about a setting where when all players have joined, there let's say a 12 hours window before press can be sent out. You can write the press and when that time period elapsed all pre written press goes out at one time

I think a double first phase of a pre-determined start time would help but the 12 hour pause where you can write press but it doesn't go out until a set time sounds neat. It would be like Christmas morning opening all the letters!

I'm definitely in favor of this as I do think it would level the playing field just a bit for those 24 hour games.

If they really want to i guess, but of course that's frowned upon here and if they got caught i'd assume they'd be penalized.

Again, i don't know if a mass blast of messages really solves the problem as some of the people will be around to respond right away and some won't. I'd still lean towards extra time that first round just to make sure everybody has a full amount of time to correspond and bond. If people really ally with the first person who knocks on their door without any other consideration put towards it then they're just bad players.

Yeah, its fine as an option. As the default I think it could just cause a lot of issues, especially for newer players

I've put serious thought into making pre-planned messages for all 42 introductions, but that's assuming only one opening/plan per country-relationship.

You can communicate however you want if it's Nonanon.

Ssorenn - for the league bit, would it help if I paused the game for the first 12 hours before continuing (I know this is looking for a permanent fix). I Did that for the 2nd premier league game, but idk if that was helpful

If you sign up for a game and it begins and you check into webdip and don't enter orders and NMR, the game should be canceled and you should suffer point loss.
