Just ran this line of thought past Jaime, but I think the game would have gone pretty different if Vecna hadn't shot xorxes N1. Let's say he shot at someone else instead that was town:

- Vecna dies, xorxes lives
- No Desperado alive means I get lynched D2 due to the Ikaneko connection
- If I get lynched no one makes a big push on Floodgates to save themselves/prove towniness
- Peter probably dies N2 with xorxes at the helm. No grenade for RHK

The whole game would have been different.

It's also interesting that up until the last moment on N1, the Mafia were set to Nightkill Goldfinger (the Cop) instead of MoscowFleet (a VT).

Chaqa, had Vecna not gotten xorxes, I would've. But had Vecna missed *and* I been killed, the game would've been quite different

I do think that given these roles, randomized roles shouldn't have been done. Jailbreaker wasn't really in play

Direct all credit to Jamiet - he did pretty much all the work this game. He's one of the best GMs I have worked with, especially considering this was his first time.

Regarding rerolling - Jamiet did suggest rerolling the teams after Ghug subbed out before the game started (he was originally on the scum team) and I advised against it since in general I prefer the roles to be completely randomly assigned and not manipulated by the GM team. Looking back, though, it probably was a good idea to do so.

As you now know, of course, there was no coroner. It amused me how many of you appeared to automatically assume there was one in play.

It's a shame we didn't get 22 players. The 22 player setup had two weaker cops - an Item Cop and a Vanilla Cop, with an Item Thief added to the Mafia team.
