Wondering about a supporting mechanic
Hey guys, is it possible for me to support an enemy troop to destroy one of my own? For example: French army in Paris supports German army in Holland to take Belgium, in which there is a French army.

Hey guys,
I couldn't find the questions thread, so I'm posting this here.
1) What happens if you run out of diplomacy points? How do I get more?

I support Isis
In the typical form of her myth, Isis was the first daughter of Geb, god of the Earth, and Nut, goddess of the Sky, and she was born on the fourth intercalary day. She married her brother, Osiris, and she conceived Horus with him. Isis was instrumental in the resurrection of Osiris when he was murdered by Set.

Seeking Full-Press Players
Hello everyone,
I'm looking to get a semi-anon, full-press, DSS game going.
I'd like to set the RR level at 90%, to make sure we have people who don't miss turns, but would be willing to bring it lower if necessary.
60 or 120 D would be ideal, but that is also open for change.

@"Studies investigating whether less or more women get hired when applications for jobs are entirely devoid of references to gender saw that men got hired more when gender was not an issue, proving that positive discrimination is in place in favour of women, and that negative discrimination is in place against men - and for the record, I never pretended otherwise."

Can you provide any links to back this up? Because i've only seen the opposite.

http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Feinstein-surprises-SF-crowd-by-expressing-hope-12160141.php

California Senator Dianne Feinstein recently gave a talk In Sanfranciso with ex senator Ellen Tauscher. Basically when asked whether he should be impeached she said trump should be given a chance, if he can change he can become better. Her meaning was that the Democrats should try to help trump and try to change his mind on things he's wrong on.

"The question is if he can learn and change, If so I believe he can be a good president"

" I have to work with people and a punch in the nose is not going to do it"

http://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/08/30/california-democrat-blasts-feinstein-for-trump-comments/

As she said this she was booed by the crowd

I feel like this is the problem with America today. The and the right are set in their own opinions and are unwilling to compromise. Trump may be a bad president but both sides aren't doing him any favors really

ishirkmywork (1401 D)

man if only more liberals were willing to participate in extending misery and chaos towards poor minorities, trump would probably turn it around and be a good president!
Smh.
Jacob63831 (160 D)

My meaning is that people are automatically against everything trump puts out no matter how reasonable it is. People talk about impeaching him instead of talking about helping him change. It's extremely unlikely he will get impeached. The point is that we have to deal with the hand we're dealt

This pretty much explains Trump's attitude and why he won't change. He's got a distorted world view and stays isolated so it won't change with facts. This is a guy who keeps talking about keeping jobs in the US and his and Ivanka's businesses pushed jobs to China and other Asian countries. The guy can't even do what he says.

So what you're telling me is... he's a politician? That's just the kind of journalistic scoop we can expect from CNN.

Trump is president in spite of himself He should not be president, but Hillary was so awful, that peopel came out in droves either of 1) sheer ignorance or 2) sheer loathing there is little else involved.

She drove rural whites to the polls to vote against her, not to vote for him.

Slightly outdated but the point is that the ideas behind most of his original policies was reasonable though the way he executes them.

In response to that list Jacob, you are aware, I hope, that President Trump said many things during the campaign that he appears to have no plan for enacting or fighting for. Dramatically more than most candidates for political office.

Beyond that, many things on that list are unreasonable and the way he attempts to execute things is obviously both horrific and incompetent.
Jacob63831 (160 D)
07 Sep 17 UTC
I agree with that Jenga , my original point was that the right and left won't agree, and in general instead of trying tell him what parts of the policies are reasonable and what changes he would have to make for it to be able to pass, people just go against anything he says. An example I gave earlier was in

http://www.sfgate.com/politics/article/Feinstein-surprises-SF-crowd-by-expressing-hope-12160141.php#item-39786

When asked about impeaching trump, she talked about trump can be a good president if people help him change and that "I have to work with people and a punch in the nose in not going to do it". It doesn't say it in Sf gate but in multiple other articles she was booed.
jengamaster (2132 D)
07 Sep 17 UTC
Yeah, well, I doubt many people in the audience believe that he is capable of being a good president. For my part, I have seen little evidence that people can help him change into a good president. Beyond that, the majority of the people he surrounds himself with do not seem particularly keen to make him into what I would consider a good president.

If one accepts that why spend energy or resources trying to change the president if that energy or resource will simply be wasted?

Now if you believe that President Trump is one or more of the following: mentally unfit to be president, temperamentally unfit to be president, corrupt, a criminal, or a Russian agent (wittingly or unwittingly), would not booing be an appropriate response? Wouldn't calling for his impeachment be appropriate? I imagine many in the audience think more than one of those descriptors fits the current holder of the office.

Policing is difficult, but we cannot have Police acting unprofessionally and unlawfully. They derive their authority and powers from laws, but this in no way exempts them from behaving lawfully and respecting other person's rights under law. Look at this ( yet another in a seemingly never-ending litany ) latest example of Police "arresting" in a quite violent way, a Nurse who refused to allow them to take a blood sample from a patient because they did not have the patient's consent, or an other form of "legal authority" ( eg court order ) to take the blood sample.
It's a risible nonsense to suggest that having an expectation that Police will behave, when on duty, in a lawful and professional way at all times somehow constitutes a "dislike" or "hatred" of Police.
Randomizer (722 D)
07 Sep 17 UTC
Not only was that police officer unaware of a year old policy, but when shown the written policy chose to ignore it. Police officers from two other departments ignored the nurse's requests for help by staring at their phones.

http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/04/health/utah-nurse-police-encounter/index.html

The two other departments still have not acknowledged and apologized for failing to uphold the nurse's rights. From now on police will no longer be allowed to talk to nurses and other medical persons, but will have to deal with a new person who will explain the law and agreements to them. Police can no longer be trusted to be near medical people when they are preforming their duties saving lives.

Trump is the best President in a long long time.
MajorMitchell (1874 D)
07 Sep 17 UTC
Well I hope some damn good lawyers step up and "pro bono" take up the cause of that Nurse and Sue the living daylights out of those responsible. The scary thing to consider is this.. If the incident had not been video recorded and released into the "public arena".. Then we can bet the cover up would have occurred. You can see Police getting more and more hostile towards anyone who is a potential "independent witness", particularly when they start using cameras. Police acting lawfully and professionally should welcome public scrutiny, but increasingly there is the "seige mentality " at work with Police. Why ? Because they know that they act unlawfully at times. There's at least two "police forces" inside most Police forces.. Good cops and bad cops

MajorMitchell (1874 D)

Given that Police do get shot & wounded seriously by other weapons frequently, it's an incredibly short sighted practice to start assaulting the very people who will have the task of saving them.

Croak and dagger, you literally linked an article which says this trail wasn't scientific, thus the results are questionable.

I'm calling bullshit on your claims. You have a confirmation bias which makes you see things which aren't there, but confirm your pov.
CroakandDagger (718 D)
07 Sep 17 UTC
Obviously they say that. Their own confirmation bias elevates so-called diversity above all else and assumes that the more "diverse" a workforce the better, rather than the more talented workforce the better.

If affirmative action means that the system is now biased in favour of nonwhites and nonmales (Which it is, there are no white male quotas), then that destroys the narrative that we live in an oppressive white supremacist patriarchy and reveals the misandric and anti-white bias inherent to modern western society. Which does exist. Your own biases may keep you from seeing it, but that doesn't mean it's not there.
