I mean, if the cop wants to gauge their sanity they can scan:
Vash, bb, Chaqa, RHK, Prado or bo

That gauges sanity but it doesn't gauge whether they're vanilla or not. I wouldn't waste a scan, I'd just let it come out at some point.

Anyway, I need to go actually read the rules. I don't really know what anyone means when they say "Vanilla Cop" vs anything else. I presume there is another possible type of cop unlike what were are used to.

This game is absolutely devastating to scum. Ive never seen town so organized and effective. I get the feeling there maybe just isnt a goid player on the scum team. It feels so easy right now.

It makes me feel like we havent even used half our unknown lurkers yet and may never even need them. No offense HR and Maniac but if your town this is like sitting in a recliner drinking beer while you got a room full of leprechauns doing your laundry for ya.

Vanilla Cop is a cop which, instead of revealing the target's alignment, discovers whether they have a PR role or not. (It returns results of "VANILLA" or "NOT VANILLA").

@bb I think scum rolled an unlucky group. I don't feel bad for scum as a whole, but I do hope that some of the newbies playing with us don't leave unhappy.

@ Teacon: That has already been answered. The Mafia NK and the Desperado's gunshot resolve at the same time. The NK would only stop the Desperado making a shot if it happened *before* the Desperado's action - but that is not the case. They resolve simultaneously.

@ VashtaNeurotic: No, it isn't the same as a ROLE COP. The ROLE COP finds out what role the target has. The Vanilla Cop finds out whether the target has a role, but not what it is.

Example:

If a ROLE COP scans a VIGILANTE, he gets the result "VIGILANTE"
If a VANILLA COP scans a VIGILANTE, he gets the result "NOT VANILLA".

Vash, Chaqa, RHK were all possible lynch options. they survived and I cant see why any of them would join me on floodgates and case build unless they were fightingike town would to the bitter end.

@Jamie: Role Cop can work that way. Like when I did consig in M7 (I think) the consig only was told if the person was PR. Vanilla Cop sounds confusing. Since vanilla usually means "nothing special" (like Vanilla Mafia or Vanilla Town). Not that any of this matters, it's just a name.
