Let me make this clear. If someone emails us about another member to constantly harass them, we would look into it. We have done so before, stretching all the way back to figle. We had another case about a year ago, and we also took action. This, as I said, does not come up often at all as most people on here are reasonable enough. And we do not advertise our actions and everything that we do.

IF krellin or YJ emails us and asks us to intervene, then we would have consider it as well. As such, they seem please to follow each other around, and neither have asked for any intervention.

IF, and this is still an IF, Agent K is allowed back, and he's fine with people harassing him, then we would not do anything. If, however, a person constantly cyber bullies him in public posts or PMs, then we would look into the case as we have always done. And there's always the mute feature.

I made no "threat" to you, Draugnar, but if you feel like you need to throw a fit at this moment, then feel free. I won't stop you. Most of us have gotten used to it by now. Just don't come back a day from now and blame it on your health conditions or that you momentarily lost your cool. That's getting to be a tiresome excuse.

I asked for opinions Draugnar, not to have people threaten the moderator team with future troubles based on our decision here. If you want to give your thoughts on the IDEA of letting a previously banned player back or ask questions related to the idea please do so.

Because it's a private site and rule 9 lets us keep people from ruining the server for others. This would not be our first choice, I would assume that if agent k was allowed back he would simply mute you which would solve the problem before we had too.

jimgov, We are not all on the side of letting him back on. We are considering it though. As we mentioned we do buy his explanation, and we are confident that if we let him back we could keep him from cheating. What we do what is the communities views on the idea, but I want everyone to understand the issue is not about whether he will cheat again, it's whether or not people should be given the chance to come back to the site after serving a years punishment without causing any problems. Would you be willing to play with someone who had been allowed back knowing the moderator team was confident any cheating would be caught?

Octavious, the community service idea is interesting. My thoughts on the matter would be that if someone is allowed back they should be required to have their games approved by the moderators and any rule violations. Forum or otherwise would result in a ban. I'm normally against the idea of letting severe cheaters back on the site, but I do think a year off without causing problems is fair.

dubmdell, Kestas is very lenient with giving people extra chances. The reason we take excess time in dealing with cases is to make sure people are actually cheating before they are punished. Please keep in mind this isn't a rash spur of the moment question. The moderator team has been talking to Agent K for over a month about this, he's jumped through a lot of loops for us and been willing to explain all of our questions about this previous cheating on the site. That does lead me to believe that he honestly does care about the site. An email chain of over 60 emails with the mods simply isn't worth anyone's time if their intention isn't to come back as a productive member of the community. That said, that is only why we are considering letting him back. We still want the communities thoughts and opinions on this.

I say give him a go. He'll be watched, we will know his new account name and if he really means it... why not? In my opinion almost everyone may have second chance.

I will just say it this way then. Unless there is a scarlet letter attached ro his account that shows he was once a cheat, I vote no. We make sex offenders register wherever they move to for life in real life. Well, cheating in game is the worst crime this site has. Make him register by having something in his description or his name.

One thing I don't understand, Draug, you say if Agent K returns you will harass him, and yet you have also stated that you want Sandgoose to be re-admitted to the forum. Would you harass him too if he returns?

I may be new to this site, but I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that doing the opposite of whatever Draug thinks is probably the best path. I would love to be proved wrong.

Two things I would just wish to clear up here.

First off, the mods never reached (and still haven't) a unanimous decision on letting back Agent K. We've been discussing this since February now, much as we discussed the Sargmarcher and Sandgoose cases. However, in this case enough of us supported the idea of letting him back that we thought it appropriate to take the next step and ask the community. We wouldn't have brought up this issue at all if some of us didn't support re-instatement.

Second, in regards to the fuzzy line and floodgates comments, we have some semblance of a policy forming right now. Banned players would have to 1) Openly admit the full extent of their cheating, revealing all banned accounts, connections, and anything we may have missed (Agent K has already done so), 2) Wait at least 1 year since the banning without trying to sneak back on, 3) Gain moderator approval to rejoin, and 4) Gain community approval to rejoin. The amount of hurdles a player would have to jump through to do this means that not just anybody and everybody will be coming back. They will have had to appreciated and enjoyed WebDip so much that a year later they're still trying to come back legitimately and through the official channels.

Now, those are just vague steps in place right now, but its the start of a formal policy.

@gold - love what you have so far. I believe that the vague "gain community approval" is the one that needs to be spelled out exactly. By vote? What percentage? How many or what percent of members have to vote? There are others, but you get the idea.

If this something you will do retroactively? Had I known that what YJ was doing was something that you would have punished him for, I would have gladly requested assistance. As it was, one of your mods was aware and ignored it.

I have *not* followed YJ from thread to thread, *nor* have I created multiple spam thread directed at YJ.

It would be nice if you kept your facts straight on this matter.

But - can I retroactively issue a complaint and have YJ punished?
