jmo and uclabb, this weekend is fine. we initially advertised the start date as the 7th, so that will be plenty of time. with you two accounted for, who is our 17th?

to the wonderful and patient players in the waitlist, I really thank you all for taking the plunge and trying to get in on this game. the interest was quite intense and I did not expect it to fill up so quickly but it did. in the unlikely event that there is an NMR or if any of us need a sitter, we will come to you guys first.

I want to send a special thank you to hellalt for helping update the list from time to time and for putting in an effort for this. I was personally hoping you'd get in but I also did not want to change the rules or make exceptions mid-stream. I do hope we get to play at some point in the future.

I actually was in the game, but now that the game did not yet start, I really need the game to start on Saturday as I said in order to send adequate first turn press. I will join in the evening on Saturday. Thanks for understanding!

Just kidding, but as a theory it can be interesting, if I know that Saturday is the good day for you, and since we are competitors, why would anyone give you the chance :) if he/she can get some advantages against you, but not letting to do a proper 1st move?
