Why Yoyo is scum (part 1):
p5: Yoyo makes an early scum post.
"Well my initial reaction is that both ghug and wjessop are scum. I'll provide my reasoning later on, but for now, I'm going to note a few things Ive noticed.
-DeathLlama comes up with the terrible idea of VTs claiming when their on the block.
1. If allows the mafia to save themselves.
2. It draws the cops scan to the false claim.
-wjessop's lack of joke posting.
-Espi's hyperactivity
-ghug's quick criticism of Espi, and everyone besides DL. Despite this, he townreads wjessop and ND, for dumb reasons, I might add.just null them, instead of town reading them for an argument that you think is productive. Wjessop just seemed to ask a lot of questions, which he does whether or not he's scum."
Not that Yoyo scumreads ghug for criticising Espi. Also note that he only mentions Espi's hyperactivity without saying what he thinks that hyperactivity means.
p5: Yoyo says he would shot bo if he were day vig.
p6-8: Yoyo focuses on non-content conversation. Huge argument with wjessop about lurking transforms into huge argument about nothing.
p7: wjessop attacks Yoyo. Yoyo reacts defensively.
p9: ghug says:
"I really don't like Yoyo's response to Jessop's questioning. Town players should be fine answering questions. Yoyo flipped out and tried to turn it into another "wj picking needless fights" narrative when it was clearly Yoyo who turned the conversation from simple question to shouting match. I don't think the original point against Yoyo was very compelling, but Yoyo's reaction was focused on creating a distraction and trying to pin that distraction on wj. These are not town-motivated actions. ++VOTE Yoyo" Pretty good summary of the first few pages.
p9: Yoyo says
"Wjessop, play better. You're brilliant as mafia, not sure why you're playing so bad if you're town."
and p10:
"Your intention means nothing. You intend for your actions to be helpful but they arent. Check the Mafia QT from last game. Dream team was literally rejoining at how you and y2k were horribly misguided and delusional, considering how vocal you were. I think you need to get off your high horse from your Mafia MVP and relearn how to actually be good for the town."
These last two points make me think scumslip. I think these indicate Yoyo knew wjessop was town. With 10 pages played it is only possible if Yoyo is scum.
p10: "Buddy Espi is buddy.
++VOTE Espi" 5th vote on Espi. Early bus attempt? It is interesting because Yoyo had been attacking and will continue to attack later Espi voters. If he truly thought Espi was scum, his reads did not reflect this. He also gives no real reason for voting Espi.
p15: Yoyo's new list of scum:
"Most likely to be native (native martian that is, because we are the aliens):
Wjessop-lack of jokeposting. As scum, he's usually one of the first serious people, as we are witnessing this game. His tactics for native-hunting are counterproductive and he either fails to recognize this, or doesn't care. I've and others have told him this many times so I'm convinced it's the latter.
Maniac- He's posted enough, but he hasn't drawn my attention at all. I almost don't even remember anything he's said, which is unusual to say the least. After further though, I di remember his Espi case, based on a word he used. Known for his reaction tests, I leave him to himself for now, if he fails to come up with something more concrete, I'll launch a more throrough investigation, as more data is collected and assessed.
Jeff- I list him as a ternary candidate because he's always been like this, however it is getting really old. He's on the list to begin because it seems purposeful this time. Like last game he was just playing terribly. This game, it's almost like he's trolling. Like BOG in the Climate change thread. He knows how to play but he's playing dumb. "
The interesting part here is that ghug was dropped seemingly with no explanation. Only thing that changed was that ghug stopped pressing Espi and started to try and find new wagons. Pretty clear scum message: Pressure Espi and I will pursue you as scum (further reinforced by the reason he added Maniac and Jeff to the scum team - Jeff had recently voted Espi without explanation).
p17: Day 1 Official Vote Count #6 (last one should have been #5)
Espi (5): Maniac, wjessop, guak, Yoyoyozo, Jeff Kuta
Maniac (2): ghug, bo_sox48
Jeff Kuta (1): DeathLlama8
wjessop (1): ND
ND (1): Vecna
Note that Yoyo is voting with all three of his most recent scum reads. Seriously, why would a townie ever do that?
p20: this gem from Yoyo:
"Ok I'm going to move my vote. I don't find Espi particularly scummy. I voted for him to see what would happen if he was the main lynch for a while. I didn't learn quite as much as I would like to but I learned a few things, which I will include in my EON post.
I'd like to hop on maniac because he's been lurky and useless. These early cases and reads are also unheard of from him. He throws a solid read on Espi within the first 12 hours of the game.
++VOTE Maniac"
p21: Espi says:
"@yoyo I feel like I am making a mistake about Maniac, I was so sure he was scum but it seems like this is too easy. I am trying to make any connections about what is going on that I can and it just felt... off. I also don't like that we only have 2 mislynches. If Maniac is town then I become the next logical lynch choice and we lose. I want to be right but I am afraid that I am wrong."
Looks like a scum attempt to communicate the need for a new wagon. Funny how the new wagon happened later.
p23: Yoyo says:
"I'm here. I don't think Espi is scum. The development between ND and wjessop is interesting though. Id be willing to lynch maniac or wjessop."
p24: "Ok by virtue of the fact that ND will give us more, I'll vote for him
++Vote ND
I also dont like that he's holding his vote in reserves. Seems off to me."
Yoyo switches to ND. Pretty clear what is happening here in the last two pages.
As you can see Yoyo's D1 is as scummy as it gets now that we know that wj was town and Espi was scum.
