Anyone want to pick it up? The france isn't in a bad position and with a brand new game also included, there's a huge chance of moving on.

Bump to let everyone know that zultar is replacing mr.crispy in 3-F and 4-E. 3-F will begin as soon as the mods figure out how to put him into the game, so make sure you aren't finalised or at least have the orders you want in.

Just as a reminder, the second round will be: the top 21 players of round one playing three simultaneous round-robin games with the same scoring procedure but scores will be reset.

Obviously that can't happen until all round one games end, so lets get to finalising!

1-G is over. For a few turns I really thought I could win, but I underestimated England (uclabb). Pretty good betrayal there. I can't believe I missed it. Great game, to both uclabb and Austria (Dellez)

There was a forced pause in at least one of the games, it seems. Should it last long?

Why was there a pause and why was it unannounced?

Because there was a CD. I think in Game 2-E. I think the solution should be an unpause and a Draw between Turkey and France. Because in the original game there should have been a 3 way between Russia and France and Turkey but Russia CDed.

"Should have" and "would have" are words we don't use,

I'm referring to a pause in 3-B, for no apparent reason - there may be one, but I don't know about it.

Ah. I see. Well, I see no point in bringing in another player for Russia to force a 3-way draw for whoever takes over that position. If that were the case, England France and Turkey should draw the game now, with no need for a third player to join in.

Why are these games paused? 2-G http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=58672 is paused too, while none of the players are in CD.

SOrry for my CDs. It was a miscommunication with a sitter, but I take responsibility. I have contacted Geofram already to see about a replacement if it is neccessary.

About the force pauses: They'll end on the 9th. The player in question told me and I think his game-mates in the group emails that he required the pause. In any case, I apologise for not announcing them, it was really short notice on my part.

About CD's: I'm handling a few of them, particularly the ones that influence a solo, but it is extremely difficult to find people willing to replace players knowing they have little to zero chance of moving on in the tournament. If you're willing, please post below, we have a few to several 1-2 pointers that could use you.

Why are so many people CDing? I've been allowing short term pauses if you told me in advance. No communication with me means I had to learn about a CD after the fact.

We are very very close to round two. Hopefully those players will not CD knowing that they're in the running for a huge point prize.

Is there anyway of predicting the cut? And should we be predicting the cut if it affects peoples' decission making process?
