Live Games - process delay
I've recently played a live game for the first time in a few months, and I'm finding that the timer counts down to "Now", but then it actually takes 30-40 seconds to process the orders. This means people are able to enter or change orders *after* the phase should have ended.

Political Views
The campaigns of Clinton and Trump have been running for a little over a year now and political tensions have been running high in the United States. As someone who's relatively new to this site, I couldn't help but wonder whether webdiplomacy players tend to be more liberal or conservative.

Game Titles
As I peruse other people's games, I've often been amused by game titles. It's a shame we can't see who the clever title authors are. It may not be wise during the game, but it would be cool if it were displayed after the game was over.

SHOCKING new excerpts from Clinton's paid speeches released by Wikileaks reveal that Hillary's...just as boring a speechmaker in private paid speeches as in public ones, I guess?

New Online Diplomacy Podcast!
Some friends of mine from vDip - The Ambassador and Kaner406 - have started up a Diplomacy Podcast focused on the online scene. You can find it here: http://diplomacygames.com/

It's also on iTunes, Overtune and Stitcher (search 'Diplomacy Games'), and should be on Google Play but hasn't appeared there yet for some reason.

"White Privilege here meaning: these people who wanna go to music festivals and talk about being edgy and cool, and cite one or two political issues and try to talk about how corrupt the system is and how they're gonna be the one to change it all. The truth is, no, you arent, third party candidates arent going to be relevant here, or ever when it comes to the Presidency"

Wow, how convenient that you changed it to mean what you want it to mean. You know, I'd always thought it had to do with inherent institutional and cultural advantages afforded to white people, but I guess if that's the definition we roll with that instead.

Once again... as of right now, i'm voting for Clinton YOU LITERAL EMBODIMENT OF AN EARLESS BARBRA STREISAND

also... insulting young people (and anyone else who dares challenge even a part of your beliefs): very much the reason why you people are considered as unbearable as your Republican cohorts

So you literally want to turn this into a dictionary lesson on the formal definition of White Privilege?

Yes, people who act like snobs and vote third party candidates do represent your definition as well. Psuedo intellectuals who took a college class on government or wrote a paper one time and think they've got the solution for America, but *GASP* nobody else knows. Luckily their a young affluent intellectual who can fire up some people online to join them.

If Bernie ran as a 3rd party candidate we would have a way better discourse on third parties. And same for Ted Cruze. I wish like hell Ted Cruze would have ran as a 3rd party candidate so there would be an ACTUAL viable candidate against both of these two.

You know why they didnt? because deep down they cannot stand the idea of the other side winning because they steal votes from their own party. Simple.

once again... are you talking to me? I don't take government classes, I'm taking Economics. I haven't proposed a miracle solution like you said.

brainbomb (290 D)

ND, youve been brainwashed by the Bill Oreilly, Sean Hannity fuckbag machine. just stop. They do this to EVERY candidate. There are no scandals, you literally are feeding into a bunch of garbage. Is she a career politican? -yea. Has she ALWAYS voted perfectly in line with every single issue I care about - Absolutely not?! Why do you think I supported Obama, -NOT her in the 2008 Primaries?

I was totally against Iraq. She shouldnt have supported it. And yea, the only reason she did was to be on what she thought politically would be the side that the country would agree with later. Please note, Very few Senators or Congressional members voted against action in Iraq. Bernie and Obama being two of the few. I think Kuecinich and some others too, Biden?

Point being, ask me questions about issues. Tell me how you can sit here and tell me, being someone (@ you ND) who works in Academia, support Trump and these republicans who want to keep the current student loan system for students. Do you realize we wont have jobs without College Tuition Reform in this next presidency? Are you seriously comfortable with the current state of Academia nationwide and the soaring cost of Student Loans?

Heres another issue for you if that doesnt grab you, Hillary is being endorsed right and left by "right center" newspapers, is supported by every ex president since Jimmy Carter that is still alive, and furthermore has the backing of most moderates, most women, most African Americans, Latinos, College aged educated people, and so on and so on.

For whatever reason you seem to be lost in this world where you think that Trump is just this white knight. Im truly tired of talking about him. I'll even do you a favor and stop. But if your going to bash Hillary, how bout you bring up her stances on Environmental Protection Agency, I know for a fact she isnt advocating eliminating it? Or how bout her stance on Higher Education, or her stances on healthcare, or immigration. Do you actually even know her positions?

And if you really dont, please go read. We all know trumps positions on things, "make everything amazing, nothing specific, but hey its gonna be amazing".

Technically the Bushes have refused to endorse anyone, but there are murmurs that HW might vote for Clinton.
brainbomb (290 D)
06 Oct 16 UTC
@Fluminator, what exactly is equivalent to the Bernie Bro's can you be more specific exactly? Im not sure if you are passive aggresively trying to imply that I am a blind sheep to Hillary Clinton, or if you are agreeing with my assessment of naive young whipper snappers who wanna suddenly vote for Gary Johnson.

(Please note, populist candidates is what we are ACTUALLY talking about. Technically Trump, Obama, Rand Paul, Ron Paul, and Bernie Sanders were "Populist" candidates who bucked trends and established party lines to become popular. Sometimes these populist candidates become a sensation, Ron Paul 2008-2012 had his own following much much more significant now than Gary Johnsons, and significantly less influential than Bernie Sanders. Another example being the meteoric rise in popularity in the 2004 election of Howard Dean, only to see his campaign fall to peices when he went "byaahhh" on tv. Populists are always teetering on the edge of threatening to become Independent if their party establishment doesnt elect them. Many times they are so adamant against the opposing party they will refuse to run independently. Trump threatened numerous times to run as a third party if not given the main nomination.)

Ironically one of my only concerns about Hillary Clinton is all these Republicans endorsing her. Its a head scratcher moments, but when I see Trump is endorsed by David Duke, White Supremecists, Ted Cruze, and krellin, it sort of makes the image out the window a bit clearer even on a rainy day. Fundamentally the good political minds of our time are all lining up to back Hillary. And strangely all the bigots and fuckstains of planet earth want you to trust Trump to lead us.

@Brain: You do know that Hillary said her mentor was the late Senator Byrd (a member of the WV KKK chapter?). Trump has disavowed the KKK thing, but Hillary never has disavowed her connections to that vile organization.

Anyway, I have to respond to your other points now.
