DeathLlama Responses
“>>@Maniac - how are you so sure that Espi is scum that you think mafia will have to bus them! It was PAGE SIX! Considering that you later tell Wjessop something about how he can’t be that confident in his reads around PAGE TWENTY or smth this is kind of scummy.”
<<@DeathLlama8 – I thought at the time that ‘the rest’ comment Espi made was scummy. If he was scum, I’m pretty sure his fellow scum-buddies would think it enough to warrant bussing him. If his wagon didn’t develop they could ease off, if it stayed strong and espi flipped scum they could take town cred.
“>>@Maniac - It’s not like Bo has been proposing this numerous times before, right? Wait...also, you seem to suggest that Bo and Espi are coordinating an attack on lurkers, which is quite silly.”
<<@DeathLlama8 – What I’m suggesting is that scum already know who town are and can sometimes be quite lazy in making case. If scum are in the town’s sight they have to find an alternative candidiate. Lurkers make easy alternate candidates (look how yoyo targeted then in the last game on d1). Bo and Espi need not have coordinated their attack, they could each arrive at the solution indepenantly and that could be reinforced when they saw their teammate doing the same thing.
“>>@Maniac - so you just flipped off Espi around EOD, voted for the counterwagon, and then disappeared? Scummy.”
<<@Deathllama8 – I explained why I had gone cooler on Espi being scum. At that point the only viable lynches were me, espi or ND. Obviously I wasn’t going to vote for myself, so ND became my only option for me to make my vote count. I’m in UK the flip is 11pm. I saw flip, commented and then slept.
“>>@Maniac - Explain why you viewed the “ND sucks” post as a string of “victim blaming” right after EOD after you’d been absent for most of it?”
<<@DeathLlama – ND never committed suicide – we lynched him. We read ND as scum or allowed scum to manipulate the vote – none of that is ND’s fault. Sure he could have claimed earlier, and I’ve said that tactically ND didn’t play great – but I don’t think he was a bad as some were suggesting. Also look at how quickly ND's wagon formed - when exactly should he have COP claimed? When he first became lead candidate? 5 minutes from the end? It's always a tough call. I think he probably got it wrong, but others think his play was terrible - it wasn't.
“>>@Maniac - Wait you think Espi voting for whatever wagons popped up was genuine scum-hunting? The second bit is a valid point though”
<<@DeathLlama8 – I think Espi was being persuaded by others arguments rather than scum-hunting, but the fact he was willing to switch off me when my lynch at the time could’ve saved him is telling.
“>>@Maniac - taking old case + adding basically nothing = weak”
<<@Deathllama8 – I’ve been killed as town before and I scream at the computer for people to re-read what I wrote when I’m alive. I just think ND’s case has some merit, we know ND’s alignment and WJessop had questions to answer and he didn’t address those – he contented himself with attacking the messenger (ND) and not the message.
“>>@Maniac - interesting that you paint this as “town PR” and “mafia” while ignoring that vanilla-townie Guak is absolutely useless. What gives?”
<<@DeathLlama8 – my point,(which I didn’t express very well) was that there is some justification for town PRs to keep a low profile/lurk as guak proved in the last game. Know we know guak doesn’t have a good reason to lurk we should view his lurking as more of a scum read, but as I said, there are probably better candidates d2.
