What's the point in cheating?

I've wondered this about board games both board games and video/computer games. Please provide to me the behind-the-scenes into the psyche of the cheater.
-Does having more kills or WebDip points make you feel better about yourself?
-Is it really worth screwing over the other people involved in the game for you to get a meaningless win?
Please, help me get it.

Nuclear Proliferation

Why do we let a country like North Korea do nuclear tests? Isn't that dangerous? Isn't it even more dangerous because they might sell the knowledge they acquire to islamic nutcases? Discuss.

North Carolina Exempts Itself From Constitution

Phase clock issue

Anyone else having an issue. The clock says now and doesn't turn the phase over for about 1 minute despite repeated refreshes, then once it does the clock is at 3:45 or so.

Yep, Draug is right. I'm hoping to get to 49 players to make 7 pools of 7.

It looks like we're up to 44 now, so that target shouldn't be hard to hit.

I'm inclined to agree with the issues presented regarding A/A* being half the league; on thr other hand i do want to see a top layer which is easily accessible by all good players (the A league with 21 players competing) this layer will be very tough competition with A* being a limited group of the best of the best (excluding those who were knocked out of the previous season's A*)

The B leagues are an important testing ground; with a further 28 players there each will have a good chance of promotion if they can beat their peers; below that i would love to see the numbers to run entry level games, but at the moment this seems unlikely. The number of B players who have been demoted from the A leagues will make it highly competative and I hope it really is the biggest testing ground for new and old players alike.

(and all of this should be the case regardless of how they are organised)

League position is normally a combination pf previous league ranking (these are leagues so what you did last season affects where you fall this season) and GR.

@Steephie - Define soon. Your soon might be his really really soon and his soon might be your in a little while. Soon is a relative term and there has been no frame of reference provided for the relativity.

What If Kestas Died?

What would happen to the site if Kestas died?
Would it erode away, it's unsolved bugs slowly making the game less enjoyable?
Or is there some emergency protocol that will let the other mods take power?
