Just got back from NYC where I watched Book of Mormon. If you're a fan of South Park, I cannot recommend you watch this highly enough.

There were a few people there who clearly had no idea what was happening and were horrified; it made it all the better.

kellin does not represent americans... at least intelligent ones.
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
07 Mar 12 UTC
No, and I'd never base my opinion on a country from an Internet forum, since they automatically filter out intelligence and leave the pond scum intact. That wasn't sarcasm, it was a question. Is "gay" still widely used as an insult in America? I'm genuinely curious.

Krellin does not represent human beings, never mind americans....
Yellowjacket (835 D(B))

While it is true the Krellin doesn't represent Americans, I feel he is definitely representative of us. Loud, abusive, impulsive, homo-/xeno-/theo- phobic, ignorant, and blissfully unaware of the rest of the world.
krellin (80 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
I wasn't insulting gay if that is what you are implying. I could really give a flying fuck who someone wants to fuck, or what. That being said...why do people have to throw it in your face all the time as it is somehow relevant to the way I will treat you? I've had coworkers who are gay in the same way the everyone is stragiht...i.e. they talk about their partner with he same casual references as others refer to a husband or wife...no big deal....And then there are the "militant" homosexuals that must make everything an issue about their sexuality -- i.e. if you don't like them, they don't get a promotion, if you do/don't do x,y,z it is and must be because they are gay. No...it's because you are a militant, in-my-face asshole!

As for social darwinsim....uh...no....for all the evolutionists out there, it is simply evolution. If someone can't hack it and kills themselves, that is nature taknig it's course, and we should all be glad.

Interestingly enough, my brother, who is homosexual, uses gay as an insult. (ie, "That's so gay.")
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
@Vaft - Like many words, it depends on the usage. As the poster who first coined it here used it, it is an insult. Saying someone is "gay" for someone else is implying they are homosexual and that somehow being homosexual is a bad thing. But to refer to the homosexual community as the gay community or an openly homosexual man as a gay man is perfectly acceptable. The term "fag" on the other hand is *always* derogatory when referring to anything other than a cigarette (i.e. smoking a fag which used to be a phrase before the word became a derogatory term for gay men).
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
07 Mar 12 UTC
Draugnar, I didn't actually mean the word itself, but the concept. I know how neutral the word "gay" itself is. And "fags" for cigarettes is still widely used in the UK and Ireland. I don't know about the rest of the world.
krellin (80 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
Jamie - I represent MOST American's, who in the privacy of their homes, when they talk amongst themselves and don't have to worry about the politically correct police - think that the homosexual in-your-face agenda is tiresome. We could really care less who is fucking who...we're just tired of hearing about it...and tired of any stray couple seeking the benefits of marriage (which, by the way, is between a man and woman for the benefit of society...i.e. if men and woman do not procreate, society ceases to exist...)

We are tired of bullying being a federal crime, instead of a normal, inescapable part of being a human being.

Most people I know in the professional working world think this way. You, Jamie-fucktard, are the one by whom nobody should judge others, you deviant freak.
Sargmacher (0 DX)

It must be a riot when a gay man asks for a fag.
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
07 Mar 12 UTC
Sargmacher, I lived in Ireland for half a year. Sadly, I don't smoke. And more sadly still, it doesn't mean anything but a cigarette, "faggot" would be the equivalent word, or about a hundred other derogative words for gay man, they're very catholic.
Sargmacher (0 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
"Sadly, I don't smoke." Why is that sad?

"And more sadly still, it doesn't mean anything but a cigarette, "faggot" would be the equivalent word, or about a hundred other derogative words for gay man, they're very catholic." That's nice but where has the focus on Ireland come from? In England, ''fag" is definitely used as a pejorative for gay people.
Draugnar (0 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
@Vaft - The concept of homosexuality is a very touchy subject in America do to a strong "Bible belt" that likes to take the Bible literally and views it as "unnatural" and "sinful" instead of seeing the beauty of a loving relationship between two consenting adults no matter where it's found.
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
07 Mar 12 UTC
I mean "sadly" because I'm a bisexual man who missed out on a lot of horribly excellent puns. I'll go to the UK later and start smoking. It'll be worth it.
krellin (80 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
@Vaft Haaa ha ha! that was hillarious! Sarg...read his comment in context of your immediately previous comment. lol "Sadly, I don't smoke" should be the new code words for gay hook-ups...lol

Oh, you will really enjoy it here then. I can't go anywhere in this country without hearing puns on cigarettes and gay men :)

@krellin - So I'm not married because I don't have kids even though we went through the ceremony and did all that rot nearly 25 years ago? Or am I sinning because I don't have kids? Sorry dude, byut that is a lame ass religious excuse that doesn't apply to the government's recognition of what makes for a loving and committed couple/household.
Vaftrudner (2533 D)
07 Mar 12 UTC
By the way, I love it when people in the modern world call things unnatural. "Sex is for procreation, it's natural!" "We are omnivores and should eat meat, it's natural!" Well, get out of your fucking car and walk to work, your legs were made for walking, not pushing on pedals. And stop living in houses, your skin was made to shield you from the elements. And stop taking medicine, it's unnatural! You should die young, starving and cold.
Draugnar (0 DX)

@Vaft - Excellent my friend! Truly excellent! I had a friend who happened to be gay (he passed many years back from coronary disease aka a heartattack) and he used to say that it obviously wasn't his choice to be gay because no sane person would *choose* to suffer the verbal and emotional abuse he went through. A better soul than Gary's, God never created.
Krellin's just unhappy because he is caught in a dead end job and realizes his good years are all gone.

Sargmacher, I'd love to visit the UK more, the only place I've been to was Belfast, and the only lasting memory was me almost getting my arse kicked for looking proddy in the wrong park.
krellin (80 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
@Draugnar -- I'm not saying that you are not married. I'm saying that, strictly speaking for a government instituting a thing such as marriage (which has *zero* to do with the church - what churches do or say is church business) that government instiution should *benefit* society in some tangible way. It doesn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that healthy marriages between man and woman tend to have "healthier" households in which to raise children, and thus benefits society by 1. keeping it populated and 2. keeping it populated with kids that have a higher chance of "success"...

that some people marry and don';t have kids is no sin...not talking about that...but if you say any two people can hook up, "get married", and thus claim social benefits, even though they have *zero* biological chance of adding value back to society (i.e. healthy, contributing offspring) then that benefit should not be granted.

this is not a religious argument **AT ALL**

krellin, what about adoption and lesbian insemination? And I have read no single scientific work that proves that heterosexuals make better parents, and I'm extremely interested, because I want children one day and I don't want to hurt them, so I've read a lot about it.
Sargmacher (0 DX)
07 Mar 12 UTC
Vafty, as I was reading that sentence I was wondering exactly where it was going to end! 'the only lasting memory was me almost getting my arse...', moving on to the next line for the next word felt scandalous and exciting.

But yes, you must come visit me in Manchester, we'll have a gay old time.
Vaftrudner (2533 D)

That reminds me of the first time I read Lord of the Rings in English. I was 14 and my English wasn't really that good, so I didn't know that "queer" could mean anything but gay. I was very confused and amused by Tolkien's talk about queer things happening in a queer forest.
Octavious (2701 D)

@ Sarg

Remind me which part of the UK you live in? I'm in the South West and can't recall ever hearing the word fag being used to mean gay outside of US tv. It was always poof, poofter, bent, homo and bum-chum back in school, along with the ever popular song "He's gay, he's bent, his arse is up for rent. His name is ......"

Never was the word fag used except to mean ciggies. That may have changed in the past ten years, but I doubt it. Not unless smoking has become extremely unpopular.
krellin (80 DX)

Vaft - what about harems and 5 guys marrying 5 women in a mixed household? There are deviants out there that make the case sex with kids is good for them...what about them? What about <pick your alternate lifestyle>....

Marriage is a government institution that in theory provides a benefit to those that will naturally benefit society. I won't get sucked in to your ridiculous argument until you answer mine. it's pretty simple, really, and *most* people agree with me, despite the fanatics on webdip
semck83 (229 D(B))

@Draug, I would actually somewhat disagree with your definition. I think that to say that someone is "gay for" someone else actually means that they're straight, but would consider being gay in this one instance because they're so into the person. For example, you often hear it used by straight people of themselves to describe how much they like somebody of their own gender.

link: http://webdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=81163#gamePanel

I believe there was a glitch in this game. As you can see, in spring 1904, the fleet in rumania attacked the fleet in the black sea which was convoying an army into sev. this attack should have prevented the convoy even though it had support from Armenia.

Hey. Is there any chance that a notes function could be added to games? I think it would help some of us that don't generally write out elaborate EoG's to have the ability to include something, even if it is just terse notes like:
