Apologies
Hi all-
I don't think I NMR'd at all, but my apologies for being MIA since Saturday. I was unexpectedly hospitalized. Now I am resting and spending time with love ones after a few scary days, but I will catch up on my press I promise.

Would this be a valid ranking system
Wins over defeats * (draws +survives) all over total finished = R
R * average R of all previous opponents

In the game; http://www.webdiplomacy.net/forum.php?postboxopen=1&page=381 the “GameMaster” has only partially corrected a glitch\program error by moving back the calendar; GameMaster: This game has been moved back to Autumn 1908 but did not fix the actual problem.

Akroma (967 D)
15 Oct 09 UTC
well, hooray for greek, I guess
As Akroma already knows, the story behind my name is that I'm an old fashioned pain in the ass no good bigot sexist etc. who just happens to be Irish and has a natural propensity for creating trouble - Hence the Tag, Major Shenanigans.

I think I'm also a possible candidate for future Forum Troll of the year.
Some of you people are really sensitive about yourselves.

Oh by the way, Akroma, Honey, we never finished our previous forum chit chat.
Those other boys want to bully you 'cos you're a girl, I'm not like them, I'm just a friendly Leprechaun who'd like to shine your lil' 'ol shoes fur ya!

I am afraid I have already forgotten who you were and what we talked about again

so, well, go and sit in the corner or something
@ Jamiet99UK:
I actually think Urallesbians is a good tag, 'cos a lot of these people are lame and bitchy, both n and out of a game.
For example, you could change yours to JanetGrandma99British_so_we'll_stab_everyone_in_the_back_in_every_war HaHa
@ Akroma, as I suspected, you are in denial of my masculine appeals.

I know deep down you're a sweet girl, like all your friends you play with in your lock up games, so if you like to play I'll try get another account and call it " Shoe-Shine Submissive For Akroma the superior Female" , as a reflection of my reasons for playing

ps. Feel free to PM me, as your a girl I'll let you discretely take the initiative.
MajorShenanigans I fell for you, now let's hold hands and skip away.
Troodonte (3379 D)
15 Oct 09 UTC
When I was 16 I got my 1st reptile pet, an iguana.
I had to find a name for it, so I looked in dinossaurs books: Troodonte just seemed cool (Portuguese translation for Troodon).
Since then I started using it as a nickname as there seems to be no chance of being someone using it before me (never happened).

Also, the dinossaure had some special caracteristics: "Troodon had one of the largest known brains of any dinosaur, relative to its body mass (comparable to modern birds). Hence it is believed to have been one of the most intelligent dinosaurs, even more intelligent than mammals of that era."

bah, I could never go for a guy who won't step up himself and confess properly
confess? lol I don't know what's being talked about but it seems fun.

I do appreciate a fellow ego though so have fun in your taunts Shenanigans, have fun retaliating Akroma

‘instead of always fingerspelling your name out, you usualy repurpose a sign as to function as your name instead. I guess you could compare them to nicknames, though that is not really an accurate explanation’

Seems like Chinese names to me.
Sayjo = my name :P

ahh hitting on people on an internet forum, tactlessly.
good job major, you sure know how to woo a woman
Pablo Francisco is a standup comic. One of his bits is about Little Tortilla Boy. I loved it and made it my gamer tag on Xbox. It was too long, so I merely took out the double letters to make it 21 characters exactly.
@Toby- based on that description I can see where that went but it is a tad different. It's not always a sign repurposed, more often the sign names are created by a quick description of the person.

then why the lion heart ?

wouldn't the heart fo a fox, or a snake, be more fitting for diplomacy ?

I've always thought that there is a good chance one of Akroma and djbent is a man in hysterical (Greek scholars should be appreciating the irony there) laughter at people like him.

Wow Ghostmaker, any more high-brow jokes and my mental image of you will soon involve tea and crumpets. :D
TheGhostmaker (1545 D)
15 Oct 09 UTC
It should do already.
Richard the Lion-Hearted was a dick and initially I was Sayjo then sent the mods an email that I wasn't using that account anymore and went with the Lion-Hearted because it seemed fitting of how I was molested at the start of my dip career mostly of facebook then a quick game here.

Akroma (967 D)

crumpets suck, I dislike their texture

can't we have just tea and cookies ?
Worded funny so to put it more clearly, when I first started my impression was the people had to be dicks to win. I've broadened my use of this game since then but such a fun name regardless.
Toby Bartels (361 D)

@ Akroma

Cookies or biscuits?

@ Sayjo re Sign names

That's even more interesting! Like calling somebody ‘Crazy Horse’ because he has a crazy horse (although apparently the famous Crazy Horse inherited the name from his father).

@Toby Bartels - or like a friend of mine who's sign name was "rattail" b/c that was the hairstyle she had. she changed her hairstyle, and managed to change her name as well =)
DrOct (219 D(B))

Good lord, I'm happy for your friend. Not so much for getting rid of the name but for getting rid of the rat tail. Those things are awful.
