Game Variant: Declaration of war
I wanted to check the opinions (and maybe gather people interested) to try out something. Haven't check if such variants are already out there and have been tested - would appreciate all feedback.

What ever happened with Hicham and Tux (12966 and 12967)?
There was a post earlier today that is completely gone about their suspicious consecutive numbers and they nearly every game one is in, so is the other. That post is no where to be found although older ones that haven't had new messages since then are. So what happened?

phpDip Mobile?
Anyone have trouble accessing this from a phone? I'm using a Blackberry Storm 9530 and whenever I view a game board my chat just appears as a long list instead of having its own window with its own scroll-bar. It will go behind the map, so if I haven't talked with the person much their message gets hidden. Then it will continue down, overlapping with order information, etc. as far down as it has to.

Anyone else had anything like this? More importantly, anyone know the fix?

I thank the Austrian people for their clarification in the matter of the scandinavian provinces but I would prefer to hear the words out of the mouth of the Czar. If he so deems it agreeable the Germans agree to not move our fleet to Denmark to show our good intentions. In return we humbly request that the army in Warsaw not venture further west than its current position

We're going to do a 7-way draw, aren't we....?

Russia would like to avoid conflict over Scandinavia, and proposes to its neighbors in England and Germany that each share the 3 Scandinavian centers. Naturally all I ask for is Sweden.

and yes a 7 way draw is nice, ofc we could always just invade england and actually get some cash out of it !

S'what I'd like to see happen.

Then again, being in the opposite corner, I have little say in whether England is invaded.

Once again Austria I thank you for bringing up the relevant diplomatic message but that does not change the fact that German envoys have been sent out since the receipt of the above message and the German people would feel more confident with a reiteration of the Russian position.

As far as a 7 way draw goes, the germans will accept nothing less than a 6 way draw.

THERE CAN BE ONLY ON----SIX!!!

Who's the odd man out, then - England the as-yet-unresponsive??

We aren't really fans of a seven-way draw, and will only acquiese if everyone else is in agreement.

As for our neighbours, France Germany and Russia, we are inclined to trust France the most, provided she does no enter the channel or put fleets against us.

However, our position is rather clear. With the other two, we will support the party that strikes first.
Friendly Sword (636 D)

If we are teamed up on by all three of our neighbours, we request the aid of our foriegn allies, to whom our neighbours backs will be exposed. We pray that it does not come to this.
Shah (815 D)

Germany, we again request that Scandinavia be divided between ourselves and England. With Russia requesting Sweden, in exchange we can meet your demands of your armies in Warsaw not venturing westward.

And since the Germans will only accept a six way at most, maybe France, Russia, myself and Austria should give in to what he wants...?

[The Glorious Republic of France]
The people of Fracne laugh at the attempts at agression given by a group of inbred, autocratic monarchs the likes of which we have exterminated in our territories. We will respond to any agression with agression of our own, and call upon our Aliies to answer in kind against such dishonorable action. We would like to assure our Close Nieghbors and Fellow Europeans that any assault on a Soverign Power is far from our thoughts and Counsels.
We will, without question, valiently support our own allies with French Arms if it so happens that they are assaulted by less honorable denizens of the mainland. We will not make the same mistakes now as we will make four decades hence.

To the Prussian Empire:
Such Maritime Cooperation naturaly assumes that convoys will be provided prompltly at the time that they are requested.

[The Grand Empire of His Majesty's Great Britain and Ireland]

His Majesty would like to ask who precisely France is railing against. We surely hope that the spitely insult against against Monarchy was not directed at our King, who is a most enlightened Monarch who allows his subjects to rule themselves.

Which is not, might I point out, how things are done in Csarist Russia, Germany, Austria-Hungary and the decrepit Ottoman Empire.

We would like to ask France where she might be convoying these German armies to, and would like to point out that the English Channel and North Sea are rightful British sea territories, though out of respect for France we will not cloud the English Channel with smoke from our powerful navys.

Might I also point out who the real threat to French interests has been, and continues to be. Not England, not Italy, but the restless Hun.

[the Glorious Republic of France]
His Royal Magesty the King of England need not be alarmed by the People. The Hapsburg Lords of Austria were those to which our insults were directed against, in some small retaliation for their less than vieled threats against our soverignty.
I stake no claim to those waters that are and have been British in the past. We only hope that the peace of the waters that both of our nations border will not again by marred by any ship of war, whether the intent is peaceful or not.
The People of France again affirm that have made no threats to any of thier honorable nieghbors. We do not know what the great Prussian Empire plans in regard to it's future martial operations.

I think I used language that was a bit to strong in regards to you, S.P.A.O. I just wanted to use the word "wroth". :D

All I was trying to say was: I don't want to fight you, and if we do end up fighting, I'm going to do my best to ensure mutual destruction. Also, please don't build a fleet in Marseilles as you seemed to tell Germany you were liable to do.

I know, I've just been reading waaaay too far into these messages. I have a theory about who will be doing what, and it's all built on vague connotations that may or may not make any sense whatsoever. *shrug* I'm having too much fun. :D

Lots of small-pot WTA games
I'm setting up a bunch of small-pot WTA games, with various point-levels and timescales. Anyone wanting to play WTA is invited to join some. If too many take off, then I'll CD out of a few; I can't really cope with more than five turn finishes per day.

What are your favorite and least favorite countries to play as and why?
Favorite: France. You've got good sea room for fleets, and it has excellent position on defense. I was attacked by both England and Germany at the beginning of the last game I won. I was able to fight my way back up my country by myself and eventually win. First country I ever played as well.

Trying to set up games
I have been looking around for standard time gams (24 hours or something like that) but all I find are games with 5-10 point buyins. If anyone wants to try something a little more serious(40-60 points) post here. I made a game before but no one had joined it so it seems to me all the interest is either in tiny point games or in 100+ point games that I don't realy want to play yet.
