Distance is not a factor, but interplanar travel is not possible. You can bring along objects and willing creatures totaling up to 50 pounds per caster level. As with all spells where the range is personal and the target is you, you need not to make a saving throw, nor is Spell Resistance applicable to you. Only objects held or in use (attended) by another person receive saving throws and Spell Resistance.

I would like to make one thing clear. On the first page snowy said:

"I'm going to just pretend I'm a VT and play accordingly. I'm not going to shoot anyone at night, and I'll no doubt be nk'd off before I become anything of a problem so I ask you all to just leave me be and let me do my thing"

This was on the heels of an SK claim, but the rules state that SK can't be NK'd. That's just a tidbit that should be left open, not really alignment indicative to my mind.
