Since we have had a number of debates here in the past about inheritance and the law, I thought some of you would be interested in this case from the UK:

Have you ever been to the moon? no. The few astronauts who supposedly went to this so called 'moon' are all controlled by the government, who are too afraid to admit the truth.

taking over CD positions
When I first started here, I made the mistake of taking over CD countries in existing games. That's pretty hard to win at, especially when new to the game. And I learned taking over CD positions was fruitless and thankless.

My question is, now that Reliability Ratings are up and running, does taking over CD countries do anything to improve RR?

As someone deeply appreciative of all that the armed forces of our respective nations do for the sake of the rest of us, my thoughts go out to those taken in such cruel circumstances.

Oh, you want to argue that this guy wasn't necessarily associated with ISIS now? Did you see the tweets? Have you seen the blog posts? Do you know that this facility was on the list of targets ISIS recently released?

@JECE After my "classic" comment I specifically brought up the policy which keeps our armed forced UNARMED in recruitment centers. I think that's pretty relevant to the attack and what we're going to do about preventing or neutralizing future attacks.
TrPrado (461 D)

I'm glad you used solid and irrefutable evidence, especially since part of my statement that his online persona was little more than that. An online identity.
Again TrPrado,

Assuming that because he was secular he wouldn't oarticipate in a terrorist attack is wrong. Isis is full of members from secular backgrounds. It's known that extremists often originate in moderate circumstances
TrPrado (461 D)

I'm aware. The problem is that investigators can find absolutely nothing linking him to be part of ISIS.
JECE (1248 D)

WardenDresden: Aren't we dealing with a drive-by shooting and the sudden ramming of a car into a ROTC center? From the little I've read, I find it highly unlikely that weapons in recruiting centers would have avoided loss of life. So yes, I find it hard to understand how your comment has to do with this case, in particular its tragic aftermath.

I'm not trying to say that your analysis isn't constructive. I'm trying to justify my own comments as constructive. Taken together, posts in this thread have made sweeping condemnations of millions of people. When lies such as these are allowed to permeate a society, those that feel accused might have their sense of reality and morality skewed. Just yesterday, near the end of Ramadan, well over 100 innocent market-goers were killed in Iraq by a single car bomb set off by the Islamic State. Do you really think that, under natural circumstances, an engineering graduate who has been living in the United States since he was 5 years old would find the practices of the Islamic State appealing?
JECE (1248 D)

In summary, this is an issue of life and death, not political correctness.
"Do you really think that, under natural circumstances, an engineering graduate who has been living in the United States since he was 5 years old would find the practices of the Islamic State appealing?"

"Taken together, posts in this thread have made sweeping condemnations of millions of people."

No they haven't. I know you lot have this fucked up worldview where you believe it's ot possible to say anything about an individual's motivation without condemning millions of people who have some feint nominal association with them, but for the rest of us operating in reality, we can and have.

If this is an issue of life and death, why did posters like you derail an attempt to discuss that with bullshit quibbling?

Y'all are frauds and perfect examples of tDecline
TrPrado (461 D)
18 Jul 15 UTC
Because I never made an attempt to participate in that discussion about his motivation, correct? Also, since when is pointing out the flaw in someone's logic a decline?

The shooter's parents are saying that he suffered from deep depression. Another shooting because of mental illness, it seems?

What is your definition of "natural circumstances," SC?

A young kid feels out of place, feels depressed, doesn't belong. So he seeks meaning for his life and finds in in an extreme political/religious/ideological cause.

Natural.
I for one never mentioned ISIS. There's lots of other forms of Islamic terrorism and extremism. Also, from CNN

"A longtime friend said Abdulazeez changed after spending time in the Middle East and "distanced himself" for the first few months after returning to Tennessee.

"Something happened over there," Abdulrazzak Brizada told CNN, saying, "he never became close to me like he was before he went overseas... I'm sure he had something that happened to him overseas.""

I'm not saying its an open-shut case, but there are so many breadcrumbs leading in that direction.

Also, TrPrado, this is when you let the forum know of any biases that you may have in forming your argument. I for one have no connection to the issue on any side - no family in the military, no part of my life touched by extremism, no religious ties.

I suppose that is a fair point, as well as reflective of the things we know of him so far. He was athletic and tried MMA, but that never took off for him. He went to college and got a job, but then was fired in just over a week, allegedly for failing a drug test. I wonder if his family ever tried to find him psychiatric help. If they knew about his mental state, then I would only hope they tried to find some sort of care for it.

That was to SC. I haven't read your post yet, goldie.

The New York Times is saying the feds are having trouble connecting anything anti-US or Islamic Terrorist to the gunman's recent activities:

http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/19/us/chattanooga-attacks-claim-a-5th-military-service-members-life.html?emc=edit_th_20150719&nl=todaysheadlines&nlid=508366

Not sure how much of an "open and shut case" this really is.

The volunteers guarding the recruiting station are almost as dangerous as the gunmen. The guy didn't know whether he had a chambered round and he left the safety off while clearing his weapon. He's lucky the bullet didn't ricochet into someone.
JECE (1248 D)
25 Jul 15 UTC
Yes, this rivals the lunacy of the NRA plan to place gunmen on all school properties in the country.

They also sound like easy targets for a drive-by shooting or someone driving a car straight into the recruiting center. Apart from being a danger to any passerby and anyone entering recruiting centers on business, they're not protecting anyone.

Every car keeps track of the amount of km or miles driven..
With regards to the engine for instance, wouldn't it make more sense to track the amount of rounds (not per minute, but total)? And perhaps the average rpm? Or is rpm not the key factor in ruining your engine?
