I Need a Mod
I need a mod to take a look at some reason postings in the thread I maintain, the Daily Bible Reading because a player is posting extremely offensive material of a graphic sexual nature that is completely unrelated to the topic. I muted him, but want to know if this is permitted or if it can be deleted from the Forum.

I need a God
I need a God to take a look at some reason postings in the prayers I maintain, the King James Bible because a neighbour is posting extremely offensive material of a graphic sexual nature that is completely unrelated to the topic. I forgave him, but want to know if this is permitted or if it can be deleted from the Universe.

The Return of NFL Pick 'em: Week 1 (Plus your picks for Playoff Teams + The Super Bowl!)
So a day late and seven Peyton TDs later--damn, he was great last night!--NFL Pick 'em is back...
So, besides the Broncos/Ravens game, pick the winners for the Week 1 match-ups...THEN pick your playoff teams (the 1-6 seeds for each conference) and then, of course...your Super Bowl match-up and champs.
So, NFL, Week 1...PICK 'EM!

Welfare pays better than work in the US
A mother of two in New York is eligible for more in welfare benefits than starting salaries for school teachers in the state. Hawaii offered the most money to a mother of two, $60, 590 and Idaho the least $11,150. 33 states offer more in welfare than full-time minimum wage work earns.

Honest answer ...
Yes I would. Nigee is one of the most clever people here. I might not agree with him on matters of politics, but he makes me laugh more than just about anyone else here. When I went to England recently there was only one person on this site who I PMed saying I wanted to meet and it was him. He showed up and even gave me and my wife (who loved him, by the way - still talks about how cool it was that he showed up and how fun he was to hang out with) a ride back to our "hotel". If he offends you, then its most likely because you aren't getting him.

And for the record, I'm saying this for your benefit, not his. I'm pretty sure he'd rather you continue to think what you think about him, because it makes it more fun for him. But I don't care, the truth needs to come out. Nigee is a pretty cool guy, whether he likes it or not!

Get off my manner you slaaag!

He doesn't offend me, but I have to say I don't see where this "cleverness" is coming from. He'll say something genuinely clever or humorous occasionally (blind squirrel), but a solid 3/4ths to 4/5ths of his posts, at least, are thoroughly unfunny garbage. Take this thread for example. Where did he say anything humorous, insightful or otherwise contributing to the discussion?

That line fucking sucked and it was still better than anything you've brought in this thread... you're not really making a good case for yourself
Knowing that that was a reference to something else made it even less funny than when I thought it was complete gibberish, because now I know he was trying to be funny and failed rather than just spouting gibberish.

It's confirmed ... You don't get it. It's ok, keep watching gilligans island, work your way up to the Brady bunch. Eventually you'll work your way up to barney miller and mash, then we'll try on some "Young Ones". Well work you in slowly. You'll come around.

@Pres - that hating will kill you from the inside out Tiger, stop punishing yourself, at the same time you're making me larf which is making me even happier which extends my life :-)
But don't just take my word for it ..... read what the pro's have to say:

A couple of things might contribute to the early demise of someone who suffers from an overabundance of hate:
Option number one: If a person's hatred causes stress to the person, it damages the body. Being consumed by hatred to the point where you are enraged, angered, or stressed a large part of the time is going to do damage to the heart and the internal organs. Ulcers are pretty common as well. There are chemicals released by the body at times of stress and rage that, over a long time, can damage. We all know how being overly stressed can cause physical illness. This is the same principle.

The more a person hates, if they are a true hater, the more they are GOING to hate, unless they manage to change. This is going to accelerate the process.
I like option number two. If someone practices enough active hatred in real life, sooner or later they are going to take enough *ss kickings that they are, well, not going to live as long as they would without it.

There we go, scientific proof that your killing yourself. Don't change for me though, do it for yourself ...... because you're worth it :-)
I actually got that reference immediately, it just wasn't funny. There's nothing else to "get," it's just not funny.

And don't kid yourself, hate is far too strong a word. You're annoying. Really annoying. But there's nothing about you to hate. Hate's for murderers, and the only thing you're killing is the concept of humor!

That one gilligans island where they eat the radio-active vegetables and gilligan could see for miles when he ate the carrots ... That was Fucking hilarious! Or when the the ww2 Japanese guy rolled in on his sub, not knowing the war was over ... And they made a bunch of racist jokes about him, because it was ok in the 60s ... That was brilliant! Keep watching them re runs PE, we'll build your humor tolerance up slowly.

Thank you again to everyone who considers donating, but please do not feel like you need too or are hurting the site by not sending in a donation. The last thing we want to do is guilt people into contributing. All we ask is that if you enjoy the site you simply consider making a donation if it is within your means.

Thanks to all the donors guys, very much appreciated.

Also don't worry about mustering up donations on my behalf; I don't particularly like doing it but it's part of the job description, it doesn't happen often, and I think it's best if I spearhead it.

Like jmo said: > All we ask is that if you enjoy the site you simply consider making a donation if it is within your means.

Cheers,
Kestas
