Primer
Watching Primer again for about the 5th time. Still not sure I understand it completely. If you like time travel or movies that really make you think, I'd highly recommend Primer.

Did zultar seriously silence 2WL for a joke because he (zultar) didn't know who Pink Floyd was? OMG! The lunatics are in the hall!
Pink does that song, Blow Me (One Last Kiss).
Draugnar (0 DX)

And Floyd was the barber on The Andy Griffith Show.
hecks (164 D)
09 Apr 13 UTC
No, Floyd played sax for the band on the Muppets. Uh... Doctor Teeth and the Electric Mayhem, I think they were called...
Octavious (2701 D)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Pink Floyd are sort of ok, but nothing they did could ever match the genious of Hocus Pocus by Focus.
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
@Oct - Nothing anybody could ever do will match the genius that is the collective works of Pink Floyd. Sorry, but epid fail there.

I'm still chuckling in my seat at his being silenced even for a little while for a multi accusation involving Pink Floyd? By the way, which one's Pink?
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))
09 Apr 13 UTC
I didn't know Floyd was Pink's second name. She's a pretty hardcore popstar.
Octavious (2701 D)

Epid fail, Draug?

You're ability to judge good music is rivaled only by your ability to type on that phone of yours :p
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Obvious typo is obvious, eh Oct? hehehe

Tell you what, you list your favortie bands and I'll list mine and we'll see if we have any crossover.

Pink Floyd
Rush
Aerosmith
Eagles
Blue Man Group
Stained
Puddle of Mudd
Coldplay
Led Zeppelin
Van Halen
Dire Straits
Sting / The Police
Steely Dan
Linkin Park
Doobie Brothers

That's 15 of my favorites.

Coldplay is in your top 15?
Octavious (2701 D)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Hmmm, fair enough...My list tends to vary quite a bit depending on mood, but here's a typical 15

Queen
Meatloaf
Led Zepplin
Dr Thud's Remedy
Muse
Metallica
The Rasmus
Greenday
Status Quo
ELO
The Wurzels
Johnathon Coulton
Adel
Travis
Kaiser Chiefs

ghug (5068 D(B))

"Greenday"

I barely skimmed the lists, but Draug wins.

Ooh! How about me?
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Wueen, Meatloaf, Muse, Metallica, ELO are all excellent bands to. And my 15 weren't necessarily my top 15, just the first 15 that popped into my head. Queen and Metallica would definitely rank int he top 15 if they had popped into my head. Greenday is OK and if Adel is actually the singer Adele then she is up there too (love Skyfall and several others). But I intentionally left Singers who are solo acts off only including Sting with the Police.

Elsewise I get Billy Joel and Elton John and Adele and Sting and Eric Clapton and many many more solo artists. I have very diverse tastes.

Sorry Queen. Also, Weezer is a good group and Fall Out Boy too.
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
Here's mine:

Counting Crows
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Queen
Muse
Nirvana
Radiohead
Rush
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Tom Petty

And by the way, thanks for screwing up my last half hour trying to bring my list down to 10.
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
Crap! Top 15? Ok, then:

Counting Crows
Pink Floyd
Led Zeppelin
Queen
Muse
Nirvana
Radiohead
Rush
Stevie Ray Vaughan
Tom Petty
Dire Straits
The Beatles
Audioslave
Billy Joel
Van Halen
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))

I just went off my Top 10 most listened to artists:

Frank Turner
Def Leppard
Lord of the Rings soundtrack (lol)
Aerosmith
Queensryche
Eminem
Snow Patrol
Queen
Keane
Gorillaz
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
Ew. Snow Patrol. *shudder*
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
I'm not a big Audioslave fan although I do like Shadow of the Sun and some of Chris Cornell's solo work like You Know My Name is quite good to. The Beatles were, honestly, great writers (well, Lennon, McCartney, and Harrison were) but others have done their work better, especially Joe Cocker who I can't believe I forgot on my soloist list.
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
I love Joe Cocker. My Ipod has 7303 songs on it. I love music.
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
Joe Cocker is simply the best cover artist out there and his original stuff is really damned good to. But his cover of "With A Little Help From My Friends" is simply the best cover of *any* Beatles song by any artist (including the Fab Four themselves) ever!
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
But my favorite of his covers is "You Can Leave Your Hat On" - a Randy Newman song.
Draugnar (0 DX)
09 Apr 13 UTC
And one of my "sinful pleasures" I hate to admit to is I like Paul McCartney and Wings.
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
@Draug - I agree about Cocker's Beatle's cover, but what about Aerosmith's Come Together? Pretty spectacular.
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
And do not get into sinful pleasures. Can you say KC & the Sunshine Band?
Hellenic Riot (1626 D(G))
09 Apr 13 UTC
@jimgov

Hey, I think my list is the most "Varied" of anyones here =P
jimgov (219 D(B))
09 Apr 13 UTC
My list gets way more varied as it goes down. I'd start adding Them Crooked Vultures, Muddy Waters, Against Me!, Blondie.....

Just read a sample download of "Ready Player One"...looking for a good sci-fi pub. Seeking modern sci-fi, virtual reality, but not old William Gibson crap. Let's talk sci-fi, peeps. (fyi: As a writer, I'm fascinated by the whole nano/embedded computer system stuff...it's what I'm writing about.)

I think the time has come for a webdip app. Honestly, this is my favorite website, and it would make it a lot easier for many people to have this site as an app. Preferably compatible for both Apple and Android

I just wanted to say that I think the internet looks incredibly weird without ads. I don't like the change and I am thinking of reverting back.

Enjoy this excerpt. I transcribed it out of a philosophy textbook a few years ago. Since then it has been one of my favorites. I should note that I actually do agree, yes. I do not think true knowledge is possible.
