@Truninja: Well I didn't mention this before but there was one point when we were on skype she started a video call (until she realized I didn't have a webcam), so I saw her for a little bit, and she didn't look like a foreigner. In fact, she looked exactly like the pictures I had seen. Just throwing that out there.

So? Do you really think after getting your CC and SSN she was going to show up? Hell, no, you would have ruined your credit (and your parent's) for years to come.

@yellowjacket: She never asked for the info. perhaps the information would have been sent somewhere if I used the money transfer sites (I never knew this before), but she never specifically asked me for my SSN or CC. If she had, I wouldn't have told her, and if she insisted, I would have left the conversation. I'm not THAT stupid.

@Draugnar: I had my mom's credit/debit card in my pocket (she sometimes sends me with it to the store to get things because she can't go herself). I never told her the number, nor was I planning to.

And like I said before, this would not have been a scam for personal info. Even if the person in the phillipines could have found that info from the stuff I put in for the online money order, remember that the girl originally wanted me to walk to a Westen Union in my city and pay cash. I wouldn't have had to give a credit card number or ssn there, so obviously she wasn't trying to find that info out.

CM yeah I don't know what to say about that WU thing. The best I can come up with is that since you were smart enough to not give her or anybody your CC or SSN, she at least wanted a few bucks for her time? I dunno.

Now if you DO want to meet a woman online (and you shouldn't, but we all know abstinence education doesn't work), try a legit dating site (they are really painful but your odds of screwing up badly are much lower) or just go to craigslist like all the perverts do.

As to the point about you seeing her on webcam and her not looking Filipino?
1. there are non Filipino people in the Philippines
2. Much more likely, THAT WASN'T ACTUALLY HER. It's not hard to feed prerecorded video information to a program like Skype and make the program think it's coming from a webcam. Think back, did she actually appear to be legitimately responding to the things you were typing? Or was she just smiling vapidly and occasionally typing. Did the typing sync up with when messages would appear. During the video call did she actually talk to you on video, so you could see her lips moving and saying the things she was? And if so, did what she said follow naturally from the conversation you'd already been having or did it just kinda start over again from the "Hello, are you feeling horny? <--Y/N-->" part of the flowchart?
