Actually we separated because I acted like a total moron, sending me on a months-long (and ongoing) quest to find myself which has rapidly changed my perspective on life and everything in it, and we're now back to being extremely close and in love (though still working to patch up the problems that ended things last time). I'm on the precipice of having the love of my life back in my life as I've always wanted her to be.

But then again, I figure a year-long relationship wherein the people have literally been in multiple life-or-death situations and triumphed over them was never going to cave so easily.
