Let me start this off by saying I'm not in the game in question nor do I care if they ban anyone in that game. However, Daniel-san, using the phrase "typical of your kind" and calling wooooooooo a war mongerer appeared to be quite racist. I'm not saying you are a racist, but the comments were, and if you meant something different it was lost on me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. While I understand you are upset, those comments were inappropriate and comments of that sort should be avoided.

I apologise if i offended anyone other than the party concerned.

I honestly don't think he's being racist - the failure to apologize to woooo is more petty childishness than anything else, and the original comment was made to make a point, without any knowledge of whether wooooo was Jewish or not. I realize that it's unacceptable, but I don't think it was done because of any racism on his part.

Daniel-san, without regards to the main subject of your complaints, and only to the racist remarks, you're acting rather unprofessionally. At the end of the day this is a game, a hobby. People do not deserve to have potentially sensitive subjects attacked because of Diplomacy. I am not Jewish but I still consider your comments and refusal to apologize to wooooo out of line. I do not feel that the anonymity this site provides should allow someone to say things that they wouldn't say if they were face to face.

Zilph, I do not believe the initial comment was 'racist', perhaps in poor taste, but not racist. I do however believe the phrases 'typical of your people' and calling woooooo a war mongerer after learning he was Jewish of Israeli descent were racist comments (again, not saying he is a racist, but the comments were). Despite feelings towards wooooo, he does not deserve to hear that.
