If anyone is concerned our journey may cause seasickness we could bring ginger, peppermint and fennel. I believe they would adequately help prevent motion sickness. I presume many of us have never travelled in such a manner for an extended time.

I shall endeavour to bring to bear all the skills and ideas that I have to offer and I look forward to creating something incredible with you all.

I am particularly keen to get to know my botanist friend: I hope that we will have much to talk about! Perhaps you will learn something from my many years of academic research experience and perhaps I will give you the thumbs up for finding a pretty plant. It will be most amusing to have something so quaint and "olde worldey" as a gardener in our midst...

So how do the win cons work? Dont we lose if the colony fails? So is it possible to win even if the colony doesnt?

¤does the colony have a wincon too?
¤can we win alone if the colony collapses as long as we fulfil our wincon
¤if we die are we out of the game?
¤if someone kills us but we have fulfilled our win con do we still lose?

Win conditions = points toward colony performance the colony has no win condition it's a survival game so it goes as long as you guys can keep it going. I'll calculate your overall score at phase end, each player will also get a score so you can see who did best as well as compare yourselves to other sims. In theory you can win your win condition AND lose the sim. Unless your win condition is based on your survival (which some are). There is a lot more explanation in my P1 post when game starts. Hopefully that clears up confusion

Hello everyone, I look forward to keeping everyone heathy and not in a position to commit genocide *cough couch* CB *cough couch*

Fun fact: Genocide is my only my second favorite game mechanic. Biological warfare is my first. I guess they go hand on hand but I draw a clear distinction.

I think we are giing to be very healthy but very slow developing. Not having a mason could be problematic for our manufacturing. Additionally having no geologist could hurt our ability to find minerals.

Lastly having a colonel will make our colony more likely to be called upon by the crown to provide military service. As opposed to a Lord or an Elder. Some thoughts.

I am preparing to relocate. I have nettles for tea, lavendar and many seedling I hope to try out in New Webdippia

BB your council will be able to compensate with specialists and such.

Also scientist is a great developmental position he can research and build on research in areas related to mining and building.

I read the tech tree and I liked the idea of focusing on farming and food production. Supplementing plants we find in the new world with our own I envision us becoming pivotal players in improving health and diet both at the colony and back home. Finding rare fruits and vegetables should prove to be a key to our colonial success. And having a medic-botanist-native-merchant-scientist really sounds like a fabulous tandem for being food barons.
