This isn't about Trump's psyche. He's banking on everybody who dislikes him thinking that it is, because it's much less sinister than the truth. If he can actually get away with doing his "investigation", he'll inevitably "find" that he's right, regardless of the truth, as that's what he does with everything. From there it will serve as a rallying point for his people and an excuse for him to start oppressing the votes of people he disagrees with, and from there we're at the point of a good, old-fashioned dictatorship.

Luckily, it very likely won't work. Congressional Republicans, flawed and willing to work with him as they are, should be able and willing to stop this in its tracks. It's important that the rest of us don't just sit around pretending he's just a buffoon in a big office though. He's gonna keep trying shit like this, and our complacency is the best shot it has at working.

Case in point. He says that his investigation will find he is right, be a rallying call for 'his' people (whatever that means), which will lead to him oppressing people, which will lead to a good-old fashion dictatorship.

So we go from an executive branch investigation to a "old-fashioned dictatorship." This is just ridiculous ghug.

I am confident that ghug's side of the political spectrum is petrified that Trump's investigation will prove that he is right (and by extension that I am right) that there is massive fraud in this country being perpetrated by the left.

The worst case scenario of voter suppression would entail people who LEGALLY registered to vote and had ID not being allowed to vote because they "weren't on the list." Kind of like in Oklahoma :)

What we need is a national voter ID law and a receipt system so that when you vote the election official receives a receipt of your vote with your ID number and you keep one as well.

I was exit polling on Election Day. It was actually quite disheartening seeing all those upset Americans who showed up to the precinct that was on their registration only to be turned away and given a card with a number to call that would send them to another precinct which would also turn them away.

That sounds odd TrPrado, but if people were registered to vote and had an ID then they should have been permitted to vote. Although I don't know the specifics of Oklahoma state law. Still, if there was fraud committed then it should be investigated. When President Trump initiates the investigation you should send in your testimony so it can be examined in more detail.

What you NEED is compulsory voting for everyone.
