There are quirks around how the points work with cancelled games/taken over positions and banned users. It doesn't really matter for the rest of the system, so it has never made it to the todo list.

Yes, he DDOS'd the site, used a fake mod email for solicitation purposes, set up several multis to circumvent his ban, etc.

When I looked back to see what actually started the purges, the initial outrage was a krellin silencing. He doesn't break site rules in such an egregious way that he needs a banning, forum silences have always been the harshest punishment mods have felt needed to be levied on him. And that's only when he gets super out of hand in his forum messages, which I don't think I've seen from him in a long while. The other end of this was when mapleleaf got banned for reaching that intolerable extreme.

It was a tumultuous time. Silences overlapped with an announcement about stricter forum moderation made things get tense. I'll admit, I was much more concerned than I needed to be back then. There were also the Draugnar, Fasces, and SYnapse bans at the same time, which were more or less unrelated to the forum changes.

A lot of people overreacted back then. Happily; most of them managed not to get themselves banned whilst doing so.

I normally stay out of it when Jamiet misconstrued what people said or what had happened, but since it involved the site, I feel obligated to speak up.

I did not threaten to silence you for saying Draugnar without cause. Draugnar wanted to be removed from the site's discussion via the forum and asked us to give him that. He also threatened to sue me and Kestas if his name was mentioned, particularly if it was anything he deemed "libel". In fact, he had threatened to do this more than once. I explained this to you and it was also on the forum, and then you decided to keep mentioning Draugnar in the forum and even inciting other users to do so for your own amusement, which was when I indicated that it was not going to be acceptable and you would be silenced for it. If you think this behavior is acceptable, please find another site to play.

Guys, Draugnar asked that we let him go. He has repeatedly asked us not to mention him anymore and has more than once threatened to sue me and Kestas personally and Kestas and I don't want to deal with him again. So please don't mention him. Thank you for understanding.

Wait, isn't Kestas in Australia? And Zultar, where are you? As a lawyer, I have to say he'd have a pretty hard time finding a court that would have jurisdiction over all the parties. And that is setting aside issues of what laws would apply. Not to mention the fact that it would have to be somethinglibelous, and unless he goes by D****ar in real life, there' be no damages to sue for. I have to say trying to sue here would likely be a very expensive exercise in futility.

Maybe I'm wrong, so consult a lawyer who does this stuff, but off the cuff it seems sketchy.
