@Espi, I replied to his fourth point but I'd be happy to respond to his others as well
"(1) I think Town has our work cut out for us in this setup. 5 of 19 voices are working against us, and the mafia can coordinate from the start. It is more important than ever that everybody try hard, post efficiently, and try to solve this puzzle starting now. It is very hard to tell the people who are sincerely trying from those who are not, if all town members are not playing hard. Play hard.
(2) Please be efficient, concise, and well organized. I like to go back and reread the thread a lot, and there are several other frequent re-readers here. It’s a lot easier to do that if everyone makes their words count. Please, think through your posts, and advance the discussion."
Points 1 and 2 are well made. And are precisely why I've been getting on wjessop's case. There is nothing wrong with joke posting. But we have a lot of mafia in this game so we need to be actively trying to be productive, and adding lots of low substance posts to the chat, particularly when you use three posts to all say pretty much he same thing. Is inefficient and just makes it harder on other players doing rereading.
Nothing wrong with a bit of joking around, but if you're online and posting, you should be trying to work towards catching others, so you shouldn't just be joke posting.
"(3) @Jack, I suggest that you track on Night 1. Probably not worth it to take a shot at a night kill unless you’re really sure, and right now we really need to focus on information. Obviously, jail or commute may come into play if you or someone you trust is an obvious target. But I think that the risk/reward generally favors a N1 track unless there is a compelling reason to do something else."
I think this is a solid argument. There are several town PR the JOAT could discover and help keep safe if need be and fewer mafia that could be turned up.
"(4) I wouldn’t mind seeing vanilla town role claims in this game. Mafia’s best shot at taking out a strong PR is the suicide bomber, who cannot be stopped by the doctor. Based on this dynamic, I think a VT PR claim is in play. My understanding is that Webdip as a unit generally opposes such a move, but I think it’s a fair play in this setup."
My thoughts on this can be found in my first post. I think its a good idea, although it could be problematic. When should town claim, how many people should fake claim. It gives the mafia cover to fake claim and produces targets that waste bullets and hurt the town if the Vig gets edgy.
