If kestas wanted paying to be mandatory, he would put up a pay wall. He hasn't, so it isn't. I love webDip and have donated quite a bit (in time and money) but I think no less of people who haven't.

If I donated to every website I liked, I'd be broke. I pay for the ones that require it and donate to some that ask for it. I think kestas is a great guy for keeping the site free and not littering it like ads, but that is exactly why people here shouldn't be acting like the Donation Gestapo; it isn't the nature of the site.

I pay my dues with my charming personality, massive intellect and unique sense of humor. In demand, you know.

I haven't donated (law school budget doesn't leave much for donations of any kind) but if I ever did I'd request not to have a little medal next to my name announcing it. It just strikes me as distasteful to flaunt one's philanthropy and the system gives deeply unlikable people like NigeeBaby the opportunity to be holier-than-thou assholes.

Some the players on this site are young adults without the means ($) or ability (credit card) to donate; I'm sure if they could, they would. Some of the players are college students without the means ($) or ability (credit card) to donate. Some of the players are full fledged adults who............., well, ............ I can't think of an excuse for them not donating.
