With that being said, I feel confident that PirateJack will take the time to look into mapleleaf's history once he logs on, and he'll see that an English mapleleaf really is a terrible ally. The evidence is so clear that mapleleaf couldn't even make an attempt to deny it.

rratcliff is bitter because I dumped him/her(I don't assume gender)as an ally in another game that we have ongoing.

I did this because, in this instance, I found r to be unreliable. Support was promised and not given. I was asked to swallow the "sorry, I made an error" excuse. I did not.

That's the history that is apparently so damning.

abgemacht and I were in the leagues together(I was out in the 1st round). I do not think, in 5 games, that we ever allied. Geographically, it never worked out.
So we were fighting all of the time.

I have weighed over the differing proposals that have been thrown about and have come to the conclusion that you're all out to get me thus I should wage war on all of you in the name of recreating Charlemagne the Great's Empire! Just kidding :P. Now to buisness! (Really!)

While mapleleaf makes me wary on a purely instinctual level, the idea of a French/English Juggernaut does tempt me... However, the last time we fought I was in a remarkably similar position to this and yet I lost to the English Menace, so the question I must ask is whether the value of that experience outweighs the potential gain of a Anglo-Frank alliance.

In light of this I will refuse King mapleleaf's proposal and instead invite the honoured Kaiser to an alliance against the Frenchman's traditional enemy. May chance have it we would conquer his lands as my ancestors of Normandie once did.

I would also like to offer a NAP to the Italian people as well as a proposal for a DMZ in Piedmont and send friendly greetings to those rulers of the eastern lands.

Austria: I agree to have a NAP, and since Turkey has not sent any messages i suggest we take him out.

France/Germany: If there is an alliance against England, then i will offer my aid.

Wow Maple leaf has quite a reputation, and now I am being taken out because I sleep at night and can't respond to the posts till the morning. You might notice that I was the first one to offer greetings. I would hope that russia/austria might reconsider their pact of my annalation. If not, they I offer my hand of friendship to Italy in hopes that we can work together for our mutual good in the south east.

I would also like to send greetings to the great Kaiser and let him know that if he needs any help I will assist as I can.

My Italian friend I am more than willing to lend you assistance against my war mongering neighbors. As a token of this firendship, I will gladly assist you into Gre if you so desire at the end of this year.

My good France, that is great to hear. As to mapleleaf's claims that he stabbed me, yes, he did, but that was not the point I was making. I merely stated that every German/French ally he had when he was England he stabbed. To say "I didn't stab this person" ignores the fact that in those instances he wasn't England or they weren't German/French.

I accept your proposal to move against him. I might suggest a DMZ in Bur and a move to Picardy would allow me to support you into Bel.

Russia, if you would like your help against the English menace would be appreciated. A move of Mos->St. Pete would force England to support themselves into Norway or otherwise not get a build, and eliminate the chance of them stealing a build from somewhere else. If England knew it was coming they also couldn't afford to try and take the Channel, or they wouldn't get a build.

Dearest Turkey, I have no idea how we could help each other at the moment as I have openly committed to a war on England. The best of luck to you though, as I think that's all I have to offer.

Austria/Italy, I propose a DMZ between the three of us in Boh and Tyr. I would even go so far as to propose that breaking the DMZ would mean the other 2 were to turn on said country.

I don't like never-ending things, so shall we say that it lasts until Sp05? That date is open for negotiation, as is renewing any agreement once it expires.
