Per Wikipedia, the key measure is the crude death rate – the total number of deaths per year per 1,000 people.  As of 2016 the crude death rate for the whole world is 7.8 per 1,000

7 billion x 7.8 per 1,000 = 54.6 million people per year, ....not quite a billion. 

A billion here, a billion there, pretty soon we're talking about real people.

That means life on Earth means death. Thus we should abolish Earth
