My gripe with the Lion King is that Scar is the hero. He overthrows a fucked up bourgoise and saves thousands of Hyenas living in poverty. After Simba flees Scar is totally written as converting the kingdom into a starving military dictatorship. This is absolutely a false representation of the amazing Utopia he envisioned. Transportation created the capitalism! If transportation didn't be like this riches cannot be richer. I think governments must limit the wealth of the people. A person can't have more than 10 billion dollars, for example. But not communism or socialism. Free to earn money. But you cant earn more than 5 million in a month. These are examples. Economists can know best. That's my idea.
The solution you’re looking for isn’t recirculation by government. It’s tearing down artificial barriers-to-entry in a short frame and then turning the keys over to letting the money do what the money does.
I would support a nationwide workers strike until minimum wage is set at 40,000 a year to all citizens. Seems like the prosperity mark we need to eliminate homelessness, blue collar crime ect
Discussions of wealth redistribution or drastic increases on the wealthy are just bandaids that don't address to the root of the larger issues that plague the lack of economic mobility in America.
I think abolishing the lottery would have a greater impact on the poor in America than increasing taxes on the wealthy.

Living wage depends on market factors, an arbitrary “minimum” system that starts a trend of higher pricing in a cycle of inflation is not the solution for that.

anyways... capitalism is where the means of production are privately held. therefore, capitalism can mean many different things:
fascism, corporatism, free markets... all different forms of capitalism. most people also associate capitalism even with mixed economies, but definitions/observations are always at the heart of non-ideological disagreements.

Ohh, this is an interesting idea I’ve actually considered. It’s actually probably the only way to end the crisis that drives people to come to the US in the first place. My one and only fear is that it may create war with Mexico (considering rampant corruption in certain areas). We’d pretty obviously win, but that would still put a lot of strain on the people there, and then strain on the future relationship between the two countries (more than there is now, obviously). It would also likely have to cover deeper into South America as well. It’s a nightmare scenario, but it’s starting to look like the only one that may work.

then why not give them all of our money, complete redistribution??? because even the most novice economists recognize there needs to be capital, large sums of money for investment, that help CREATE jobs, and CREATE products.
it's not just a matter of money circulating for buying goods, we have to create the wealth as well.
hell, even Marx openly admitted that his plans for revolution could not create wealth: that's why we said it could only work in a fully industrialized society.

Not necessarily. The corrupt tendrils of cartels reach into the US as well, so we have our own incentive to go after them. The problem is that getting Mexico on board with it would be...interesting.
If the political structure deliberately alters the economic framework - so as to funnel impractical levels of wealth to the top you mean like -Mexico? -Cuba? -Venezuela? -Russia? -China?
I don't understand how taxing the rich more helps the poor. It helps the government collect more revenue - but the government doesn't have a strong track record of using that move to effectively help the poor.
Saying that taxing the wealthy will help America's poor is like saying the solution to America's race problem is to punch a white person. Sure it will feel good, but it won't help solve anything.
