Scenario: someone has a unit in an SC that is completely surrounded. The enemy captures that SC, and then the phase progresses into the retreats phase. Why is there a retreat phase if the only option for that unit is to disband? (Imagine the scenario as this being the only unit needing to retreat/disband). I feel like it's completely unnecessary and is a huge waste of time, especially if it's the player's final unit and he just wants to wait the full phase length to piss off the others. Is there a good reason for this existing?

I don't really know how the rankings work, I think it might be based on your game record only regardless of points, or maybe the other way around.
