Microsoft's AI experiment
Microsoft had a research experiment called "Tay" which was a chat-robot driven by Artificial intelligence. The experiment got cancelled because internet trolls learned how to teach it to churn out racist and other socially unacceptable text. Microsoft has cancelled "Tay" but said that they will soon be coming out with version two of the project...

A/T alliances where Austria does not get boned
Please post examples of success -- I know theoretically it should work, but when I am Austria I always get stabbed, and when I am Turkey I always find the knife irresistible at some point. I want this alliance to succeed, but there always seem to be reasons to end it early.

A lady I know very well had a 41/2 month miscarriage. She was shown the 'foetus' . The picture has stuck in her mind ever since- trust me it was much more than a 'clump of cells'. Although a partial birth abortion renders an awful mangle of limbs and other body parts,. Her husband was so upset that he asked the hospital to take care of their baby. I know that the mother now regrets it and wishes her lost baby had a grave.

I tell this story so that we can be clear on what stage of life these clinics actually routinely, and in my view obscenely, dispatch

I know personally the woman that is national director for Democrats for Life. I've known her for about 20 years, and known her husband for about 30 years. She was once a very strong pro-abortion activist.....right up until the baby in her womb slid into the toilet one day and she beheld the lifeless human body-in-development that had been kicking inside her prior to that day.

National Director for Democrats for Life....guess what caused her to change her mind?
Ogion (3882 D)

And your story, fulhamish, is incredibly misleading. My wife and I also had a miscarriage at 4.5 months, and what is missing is any sense of the formation of the brain. It is the cessation of brain activity that defines the end of life and similarly it is consciousness that defines much of the beginning of it. Yes, I also saw our fetus (my wife did not) and there was a tiny somewhat formed shape, but still a very long ways from having a baby that's taking in the world. I've seen both and it is very very different.

Maybe she wishes there was a grave, which I understand, but that's more about her attachment to some expectation and imagination than it is to any actual biology

I also know a woman who was 7 months along when she found out that her fetus was horrificially deformed and would not survive more than minutes after birth. The forced birther types would have forced her to carry the child to term only to watch it die horribly at risk to her life for basically no valid reason whatsoever. That really is what defines the anti-choice brigades as largely cruel and compassionless powermongers to me. No doubt these people want to punish those who are suffering and in difficulty. I find it kind of sick, frankly.

"I tell this story so that we can be clear on what stage of life these clinics actually routinely, and in my view obscenely, dispatch"

You're a liar. There are only 4 late-term abortion providers in the entire country, thanks to assassinations and threats. They is no mangling of limbs, what is produced is a still born and a delivery takes place.

You're a shameless liar and propagandist. Go away.
Putin33 (111 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
In my locality, abortion is only performed up to 16 weeks. This is how it is with most cities, if they're lucky enough to even have access to a clinic. So this notion that clinics are "routinely" having late term portions is 100% a fucking lie, as 100% of the abortions taking place here before 16 weeks and most happen around well before that. And yes it is a clump of cells.
Putin33 (111 D)

"Maybe she wishes there was a grave, which I understand, but that's more about her attachment to some expectation and imagination than it is to any actual biology"

Indeed and what business is it of the state to force women to pay for funerary costs? This from the same people who object to forced mandates for health insurance.

These same sick fucks who supposedly care about women hand out baby toys to women who have just had abortions around the holidays. They have no compassion whatsoever. They just like feeling better than other people.

Well I have been called a liar. I guess the final verdict must be an image of a 41/2 month old foetus/baby. Do I really need to provide a link to determine whether it looks more like a clump of cells or a baby? If called upon then I will. Otherwise I take it that the accusation is just the normal personally directed slander to which I will not lower myself to respond in kind.

Abortion is a very tricky subject. The two sides have fundamental disagreements about it and that's why it gets so heated.

Pro-Life thinks a fetus is a person and abortion is murder.

Pro-Choice thinks a fetus is a clump of cells and it's the mother's body.

Neither are completely right or wrong. It's not something that has a right answer.

And to deny my close friends memory and experience is agenda-driven at best. Nasty, mean spirited and misogynist at worst (could use other words, but won't out of respect for the forum).
Putin33 (111 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
It's really sick that Fulham would exploit a tragedy facing someone he knows to gain cheap political points.

A 16 week fetus has a "head" that looks like a grape and does not look human. There is minor differentiation of the limbs but nobody would claim it looks human.
Chaqa (3971 D(B))

I wouldn't claim a deformed burn amputee "looks" human either, but they're still human.

Putin is right that is all you see post-abortion. Pre- abortion and still- birth however is very very different.

Ogion (3882 D)

No one is accusing you of being a liar. My "maybe" signifies only that whether she wants a grave or not is immaterial. What a fetus looked like isn't particularly relevant. You can force a dead body to breathe and look like it's alive long after the person is gone. That's also irrelevant.

Unlike you I have been in this exact position you describe so I speak from an experience I hope you never have. You really aren't qualified to speak to this point
fulhamish (4134 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
There is rather moving site called 'stillbirthday. I suggest anyone who wants to judge whether a 41/2 month old foetus/baby more resembles a clump of cells as Putin puts it or a baby has a look.

Now Putin please elaborate on your libel, what exactly have I lied about?
fulhamish (4134 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
Orion, you have my sympathy and I apologise if I put you on the spot. I fully understand that each of us has to deal with things in the way that we can best cope. I am very sorry for your loss.

Actually Putin did call me a liar, but that is a matter for him not you.

Chaqa. There is no need to elect a clown in order to keep the influx of immigrants on a reasonable level. We handle this problem in Sweden with our normal responsible and respectable politicians. :)
Putin33 (111 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
Responsible indeed, just ask them about the 100 year old U boats that are "menacing" Swedish bays. Carl Bildt's paranoid ramblings are the very image of reasonableness.
Putin33 (111 D)
31 Mar 16 UTC
Another example of the forced birthers 'concern for life' is the fetal anesthesia bill that just passed in Utah, which makes forces doctors to perform procedures that they cannot even do, as there is no such thing as fetal anesthesia. It forces doctors to knock women out and make them breath through a breathing tube, and also puts women with preeclampsia at severe risk of dying. No doctor would give a woman anathesia that does not require it, as it is unethical. But since when have the forced birthers cared about ethics?
Ogion (3882 D)
