Hey everyone. I am checking in from my night class (on break). Looks like an interesting setup.

I'm making supper right now so cannot be on much, but I figured I'd just open up with a few thought and return after supper and my skype call.

@DO I'm not new, but I've only played in one game on Webdip, so I don't have a lot of history to analyze. Furthermore during that game I was 3rd party. Given the relative lack of information on my history I am probably one of those players who it will be hard to discern a change from my past behaviour. Figured I should point that out. I think someone else mentioned that we don't have any new players this game, though.

@ Balki, I think you are right about the VT, claiming to be PR. It might be a good chance to take out the Suicide bomber without losing a town role. And if we have VT role claiming it will be harder for the mafia (and town sadly) to determine which are the real role claims which further discourages the suicide bomber from making a kill.

Downside, it makes it easier for mafia to make a role claim and harder to decide if you should contest the role claim. Its certainly an idea the town should talk about.

Damian probably got the closest to winning of any third party (except HR in MX) as SK in M2. Don't remember much about his play though.

@DL sounds about right. Trying to see what exactly I want to do with my role, and trying not to talk as much as I did last game. I hope to come across much more clearly this game, and not have my 'talkative posts' distract me from reading others. I already mistook ghug for guak so I haven't started off as fresh as I had hoped.

Re: TRPRADO

I realize this is a bit of WIFM argument. But I think this is a situation that calls for Occam's razor. If TrPrado was mafia, I would be shocked to discover none of his scum-buddies were reading this thread, and pointed out how he had drawn attention to himself.

Since TrPrado hasn't shown up with a spontaneous defence, as soon as attention shifted on him, a simpler explanation is that he is AWOL. If he were coordinating with his Mafia buddies, I would have expected him to appear with a sudden apology soon after attention started shifting his way.

Regardless of whether he is guilty of innocent he is clearly not responding, and waiting for him to return is not a productive course of action. Far better that we pursue more fertile fields now and begin questioning him when he returns.

Another interesting character, although also offline right now is Wjessop:
Waits for the thread to open to post first (low content), follows with "I feel like Beyonce" (low content), drops a vote (with a reason, of questionable merit, but a reason never the less), and them proceeds to provide low content posts until vanishing "I'm not trashy, I'm trash removal, hunny.", "Presumably.", "They're probably having a good chat about us right now.", "Bastards.". Not one of these posts moves the game forward, but these posts still give Wjessop an early presence, and splitting some of he ideas into multiple posts make Wjessop appear even more prolific. All while failing to seriously address any ideas that were brought up by other players.

To clarify, hanging around pre-game and then disappearing once it starts is odd behaviour. Prado is a mild scum read from me. Since I can fathom scenarios were he is mafia but doesn't show up to apologize for disappearing. I just think that a) there are other more likely explanations and b) we're wasting energy trying to get him to talk.

Talking about the scummy actions of players is not a waste of time. Trying to summon missing players can be useful, however we need to try and continue having a productive discussion rather than just waiting for a missing player to defend themselves.

I think the number of participants so far has something to do with the game start time, So I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I really think we should deter lurky behavior. I don't think captainmeme has any right to join a game with the prospect of him not participating. I understand if he is busy but for him to say that his participation "depends on how much I feel like saying" is unacceptable and every time he says things like this, it gets even more on my nerves.

My comments you referenced came in the first hour, of a 'game' that usually takes weeks, and bearing in mind games are meant to be fun -- your clutching at such v. early joke posts makes you look scummy.
