You may be strong in some of these but weak in others; and you will never develop those others it you blame other people for your own weakness.

Have I been able to figure out who players are because of the semi-anon status of the game, yes. But good players can change their tattics to suit different scenarios.

Surely what you describe retardedarcher IS the game of diplomacy. I think my greatest skill in the game is recognising players that are better then me. When I do, my strategy is to try to eliminate them. I would much rather face off against a weaker player than a stronger one. Line of least resistance and all that.

I think you need to learn to play the diplomatic side of this game, don't worry so much about the tactics.

The problem with playing arbitrary games, is the CD rate. The lack of gamesmanship. @kuta, if that's what you like then go for it.

I want to know the people involved in my games will see it through to the end, winning or losing.

No, I'm saying that because you just wrote a massive post explaining why this game makes you angry, tied around the premise that you don't do well in your games. Despite this you turned down offers for help saying you understand why you don't do well. Now if you actually understood why, and were as intelligent as you say, then you'd be able to improve your game. But you haven't, you're just whining to whine, and then getting offended when people call you out on it. So my motive is that I find the logic of orathaics posts sound, and yours unsound.

archer, how many games exactly have you felt this in, because I do not believe you should even be feeling this way in every game. I know of the one game I have played with you, where I am not aware of anything of the sort happening.

It was just that I pre-emptively attacked you because HR had a good track record of not lying to me. I probably could have gotten a few more units and hunkered down for at least survive if I didn't do that.

Regardless, I'll make sure to not make the same mistakes next time.

Two games this has happened to me. The rest I concluded were because of my own tactical mistakes and/or lacking leverage for my words to mean anything.

The two games I felt powerless because of reasons stated. Everyone was a brick-wall and united in this tribalistic, high school fashion.
