But, if I can give my thoughts.
This was not a balanced setup. It was incredibly stacked against the bio. The fact that the Arsonist could just come out and claim and never have to worry about a NK was ridiculous. I spent most of the time on D3 wondering when it was I should suicide into meme - at what point does the infection spread far enough for it to be safe for me to do that. Because that was the only way for me to win - to eventually kill myself infecting meme. I was preparing for a D4 lynch meme argument before he died, but it was going to be a shitty one.
I think you guys are seriously underestimating how hard this was for bio. I had two chances per night where I could die. I had two roles that directly countered mine (Doc gets a Vaccine AND a save???), so I *needed* to infect power roles, or people who would be visited by them. Anything else was a waste. I couldn't infect people who I'd imagine dying within the next day. AND, if mafia reached a plurality before my infection was complete, it was gg.
Like, you guys don't understand how incredibly lucky I was to win it. 1) Glen was a NK target. I never would've predicted that. I tried damn hard to convince someone to visit HR on N1, and was ecstatic when I realized someone had. 2) The inventor gave Ezio a gun, and then in turn infected Janitor. 3) Both the doc and the arsonist were taken out in one go.
But EVEN THEN, I 1) had no idea who was infected. I legitimately believed Vecna's claim for a few days, so my whole idea on who was really infected was really convoluted. 2) I repeatedly infected people who were already infected, and had no idea whom actually was. In that respect, yes, it was nice for mafia to spread the infection, but I had to guess against their infect and their NK. The fake-claims also had me incredibly confused, because I knew mafia were infecting people and still didn't have a clear picture on who was infected, even while knowing the total number. 3) I still almost lost multiple times - once on D4 - I believe if rdrivera was lynched, mafia would've won the game within the next day and again this last day. It was conceivable for each team to win up until the last day. If mafia NK'd me, town could win by lynch. If mafia NK'd Chaqa and RB'd me, either one of us could win. That's really balanced, guys. At least for town and mafia.
Also, don't blame each other so much. Chaqa and Vash had pretty good games. I wouldn't say Vecna's game was bad either - he had me fooled. However, I think I steered a bit of the conversation and had the trust of town in D3-D5. Mafia were winning too hard, too fast, so I decided I had to sacrifice an infected to slow them down - but even then was tormented over whether or not I made the right choice (Every time I lynched infected scum, actually, I thought I had made a terrible decision). But by D4 I figured the only way I could win was to force scum to kill town to keep ahead of the constant lynchings, and to keep town lynching scum every day. So while I don't want to take complete credit for the cold war, I believe I was a significant cause.
Demon, hats off to you. It was certainly the most challenging game I've ever played. And despite the wild swings in my favor, I still almost lost it all. Minor tweaks is all this setup needs. Probably just to the Arsonist and to the Stalker.
