Goldie was an obvious nk choice because he was civilian-clear, so town would never want to lynch him over a bio-candidate that was also potential scum. If bio was ever caught goldie automatically became another unlynchable town-clear. I don't know why Mafia never considered that.

The infection trailing discussions was really demanding to follow. More on the level of who is fooling who with what theory and for what purpose. I saw that my scum team mate Vecna put a lot of energy into this and I chose to trust him. I was mostly trying to figure out what Vecna's plot was. Anyhow I think this infection thingy made the mafia game a lot more complex than it normally is and a lot more demanding.

@ Chaqa: If you paid more attention you'd notice that most of my past "frivolous" GM calls are actually in pursuit of getting the GM to clarify fairly obvious rules or setup features that *other* people are stupidly getting wrong.

In this case the rule in question was NOT ambiguous. It should have been clear that the Mafia in this game were told the names, and not the roles, of their buddies. That's not only how it was written, it was how it was MEANT to be read. I still cannot fucking believe you maintained my correct reading of the role doc was a scumslip EVEN AFTER the GM confirmed that it was MEANT to be obvious to the reader.

We/I put too much stock in Gold bein a less likely Bio because he pushed on Ezio so hard (which was confirmed infected). Sucks to now read in the god thread that he did that by accident and realized at the time he messed up by doing that. Turns out it indeed won him the game

The fact scum weren't killing the Bio made it more important for us to lynch Bio, not less. It was incredibly dumb to think otherwise, and we lost as a result. Nobody seemed to notice the infection couldn't spread after the Bio died.

Hr, you shouldve lynched Gold there with me at the end so I could punish town. That game was a guaranteed mafia win if you had only flipped your vote there instead of voting no lynch.

yea, the arsonist became a glorified survivor role. I'm glad people enjoyed the setup overall.

Anyway, if you read the god qt, this will be my last time GMing for a while unless asked to co. I like running off the wall setups and want to let a lot of better GMs than I run their games for a while. I got some good stuff brewing for mafia 34 :P

I didn't realise I had to hand hold by pointing out such obviousness. Try reading roles next time :)

Nowhere does it say it stops spreading after it mutates.

At any rate, it wouldve been best for everyone if we had lynched for the bio after I fakeclaimed. Lynching Krellin there was the biggest town mistake of the game. If town had shown willingless to even try to go for bio there (whether it was teacons suggested lynch or someone else in the pool), mafia tries or succesfully NK's the bio and we can all live happily ever after.

Jamiet. Some questions are not wise to ask in public, but you still want the answer to be made public by the GM. So I think it should be possible to PM the GM the question privately and then the GM says something like this in public "I have been asked this question X and the answer is Y". It would obviously be up the GM to choose if he thinks the answer is generally interesting enough in order for him to publish it in the game thread.

And Vecna, I lost all care by then. From the teacon lynch onwards I gave up on how idiotic the town was.

@Vecna: we were. We lynched krellin because he could be BIO OR MAFIA. We didn't know as well who the Bio was at that point, so we lynched someone we were certain wasn't town.

It doesn't say a damn thing about the infection no longer spreading, HR.

@HR - Even if we lynched bio earlier, we were still behind the death clock. Mafia NK and infection death rates had us. We had to delay the bio kill to a point where we could keep up with the added deaths.

I know HR, trust me I know.
